launch the game

just bought the game (pc version) yesterday,evrything was fine
some time later i could not launch the game anymore,
error says:

just try it again and i got tis error

Can you start the game without using the launcher (i.e. using the witcher2.exe from your The Witcher 2 folder?)?

I know that's not a solution, but at least a workaround, so you might enjoy the game until someone comes up with something useful.

I would start with either of these and run a full system scan
http://superantispyware.com/
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Might also do a boot time scan with your antivirus . If your antivirus program does not have an option to do a boot time scan then look into getting one that does . Avast does i know .

Also try doing a disk cleanup .
Start>all programs>accessories>system tools> disk cleanup

i did evrything you sayed,got 80 infected files delete them,but am still not able to launch the game

Aaden i found the map but it doesnt start either,i checked all the maps and in the dowload map i only got
dowloader patch ,so am missing 2 updates 3.1-3.2
i will try to manuel patch them,if noting helps ill reboot my pc
