Hmmm the head and ears remind me of a Fleder . Maybe Fleder 2.0 Can`t get a good look at the teeth though . But the head definitely gives a nosferatu vibe . Plus the veins in the hand and arm almost says I was once human . But then again maybe not .

I'll surprised if that's a Fleder, which are more bat than human, and can fly, etc. Perhaps another vampire subspecies.

I do like the Leshen, presses all the right mythological buttons for me, Herne, the Horned God, Cernunnos etcetera. Common motifs from our shared ancestry, that recall the symbiotic relationship we once had with the forest, as a place of bounty and salvation but also a dark place of danger and outlawry.

Yes... It has a simple design, but a very precise one. Branches from trees compose its body, a deer's skull its head; it's covered in living ivy and mushrooms, and wrapped in human tatters. A rope encircles its waist. For me you're spot on, Bloth.

The two sticks on his back, one holding a bone and another a rag, make it almost look like a symbolic representation, almost like an allegory. Which is perfectly in line with the description of the "monster", instead of going for a simple carcass of bones and wood taking life. Am I reading too much into this design? Perhaps, but if I can, then it's an indication of the quality of the work. The character or creature design team (or whoever it is that should take credit) has reasons to be proud of the Leshen. My compliments to them.

Hrrrmph. So we get a description of a new monster in the News thread.
But where's the cosplay guide? They finally have something I stand a fair chance of handling, and there's no guide.
Hrrrmph, I say.

I like Leshen. I think my Geralt will become friend with it.

They said there is about 50 unique monsters in game ? If they wish to cover all there should be more than just 1 per month, but I doubt they will show all..

I remember 80.

And they certainly don't wish to cover all. These are just teasers; they'll want most to be found out in game.

80+ monsters... which may not be inconsistent with 50- unique monsters.

We have been told that there are two 'variants' of werewolf, one for NML one for Skellige... and there was talk of Griffon and Gryphon (or something along those lines), as two types of essentially the same "but bigger" monster.

леший - хм.. интересно,надо будет встретится с таким чуваком в игре. мочить его конечно же нет смысла а вот узнать что он за чувак стоит. а в обще стоит затратить время на детальное изучение всей местности в игре

If there are Russian speakers around, could someone suggest that he posts in English, or in the Russian subforum?
