He's Geralt's secret, 'special' brother who likes to cook. Sadly, everything he makes is poison. But he dreams of someday opening a 5 star restaurant with other lesser known characters Voltan and Tandelion.

Thank you.
Now watching the realistic details I wonder if it is not an 3D printed statue....

Actually, I think it is, that's why I bought it.

But you, folks, who live elsewhere and can't buy it from eBay, don't you worry. 3D printing will be widely available in the next 3-5 years, and you will be printing yourself any statue you want.

Wow, they essentially got a pseudo-collector's edition with all the stuff in that bag.

I really wish CDPR would make a "mid-range" edition (i.e. somewhere between standard and collectors edition, say $80). This "E3 Media Only" edition would be great for a "mid-range" edition. I can't see myself dishing out $150 for the CE, but something like $80-$90 for that E3 edition is definitely plausible, and I'm sure other posters here would agree.

It really sucks that the media is basically having a field day on Ebay selling these things for hyperinflated prices (essentially "free money" since they got it for free) when CDPR could be making that money for themselves, and it would actually go towards improving the game rather than some newly aspiring "merchant."

They already have all the components for this edition, so no "innovation" is necessary, and based on this thread, there is a demand for it.

I wonder if there is any compliance guideline in place at CDPR.

I once worked for Siemens in Germany a few years ago and we were only allowed to make gifts if they were cheaper than 8€. Everything above that was at risk to be assessed as an attempt of bribery...

Personally, I think there shouldn't be valuable gifts for people you depend on (in this case CDPR depends on good reviews from the very same people they gave the gifts to...). This just doesn't seem right to me. They should rather give those statues away to real fans or just sell them on their shop and use the money for making the game even better. That way you would get good reviews as well, or not? :p

Yeah, I kind of agree with you a bit there. Showering the people who will essentially be doing half of the game's marketing for you (the impact of reviews on people's buying decision is pretty big, IMO, especially from bigger outlets) with free gifts is . . . a bit bordering that "b" word that I don't really want to use, at least appearance wise.

Hell, half the people who got this edition don't even seem to be real fans of the game (i.e. that "Jeralt cooking" girl), and were just lucky enough to be classified as "media" and carry out a half-assed interview with some of the worst questions I've ever seen asked in a game interview . . . ever.

And as I said earlier, there is money to be made for CDPR here, and they should seize that opportunity gladly. Many people who can't dish out $150 just might be willing to dish out $80-$90 for that "medium" edition. The popularity of Call of Duty's "Hardened" editions proves this.

They clearly had an inventory of this E3 edition if they were able to give it out like tic-tacs to all the media present. Hell, that "Jeralt" girl from earlier only has about 1k subscribers on YouTube, so it didn't seem to be hard to be classified as "media", and for that, more copies were probably given out.

That disgusts me to no end! I have noticed the collector's editions for Witcher 3 already up on ebay ranging in price upwards of 300$ & 300 £,those were just a few that I saw. Some will jack it up even further because they can get away with it.

There are fans who would want nothing more than to have this statue or the C.E. but you have selfish, greedy individuals who have absolutely no consideration for other people.

Anyone who reads this has my word, If I'm able to do anything to help, I will do what I can. I too know what it feels like to be in that situation.

Wow! thanks for the images. I've never seen that Geralt statue before. Love to have that as well! I WANT IT ALL! :(

That armor design is badass! Love to see it in Witcher 3! A close similarity would suffice.

No. I also don't think that they'd need it. It's just "bad business manners/style" imo. Gifting valuable stuff to people you somehow depend on should be avoided even if you only had the best purposes. After all, journalists and fans/consumers are not the same...;)

She was overwhelmed by Skyrim? She was what now? So much so she ended up doing nothing? Oh shit, why do I even bother to fall off my chair anymore? Some days I hate the industry when I get to see it for what it is. Fans are called fanboys and frowned upon, and gamers are ridiculed for their interest in games, but every other effin youtube phenomenon and writer for some gamesite get all the goodies and too much credit to be honest. Because all publicity is good publicity. Even this shit. And you apparently don't even have to be that good a writer at that, or take your job seriously, God forbid, as long as you get it done, and get paid. I didn't watch all of it. I didn't. I couldn't.

But of all the things she say, what I can't get over is that she sounds so effin bored and ridicules and diminishes the game demonstation she's been showed! Is she high or is this her artistic angle or what? This doesn't really sit well with me at all, so what kind of gamesite is she working for?

To get to watch any gameplay behind closed doors, hell even to receive a mere t-shirt, or let alone interview any dev from CDPR, greatest devs out there, would be an honour for me. I would appreciate it and be grateful, not seem uninterested or indifferent. And she gets a statue and a copy of Witcher 3? For doing what exactly? Why waste game goodies on those that only consider this another job?

If someone would give me an offer to play games, being pampered and go to gaming conventions, getting to interview devs, and on top of it all being paid for doing these things, I'd jump at the chance. And even if I would be tired, and working hours were hard, and the job sometimes not being what I thought it would be, I'd still be honoured to shake hands with a CDPR dev. Any dev for that matter, no matter what game, and I would try to show respect and professionalism in everything I did.

So please devs, I would love if you hand out some goodies to those who would really appreciate it. Perhaps maybe make a contest here on the forum so that you could win the statue, or outright let someone like me buy it from you. I would love for you to show how great you are yet again @Marcin Momot. So can I win or buy a statue from CDPR? I would really appreciate it! Love you devs!

We need only 4 more positive votes to reach a total demand of 100!!! That's not bad given the amount of active users here. We can only imagine how big the actual public demand could be...

I guess it isn't as durable as it looks. How light / heavy does it feel? Is it more metallic (physical texture) or plastic?

If it is made of resin like I've seen/heard in a couple spots, then it would be more plastic-like normally, so it comes down to what it is painted/coated with. Resin is a fairly light material, so I'd guess the statue might weigh 12 oz.

It's an easy and relatively cheap substance to make shapes out of (compared to PVC or polystone statue), but it something really hits it (falls to the floor, etc) it's going to shatter and break in a number of places.
