Let's Play, Guides and other videos

Fellow Witchers!

I've just started a Letsplay for the game. I'm fairly excited for it and if You are too, come and check it out!

Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuC7742_syAScu6mA5qITMVwN0qHCMLwx

First Episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pwbq8P78DGU&index=1&list=PLuC7742_syAScu6mA5qITMVwN0qHCMLwx

I've stumbled across some difficulties as explained in the video but the content will only get better, more so with your feedback!

All kinds of constructive tips or observations are welcome!

Humble opinion on all let's plays:

I think they should be done once you've familiarized yourself with most of what the game has to offer, so your video is clean, precise and well guided, and possibly filled with useful information or insightful commentary.

Otherwise what you get is a recording of someone's attempts at learning the game and its mechanics, in the case of this game possibly not a very quick task.

But then again I'm jaded and never watch let's plays. Good luck with your project.

Interesting point of view...
although I think the term 'Let's Play' means content where the content maker is going through his/her first experience, whereas 'walkthrough' or 'guide' is the type of content where he/she is showing the 'proper' way of playing through the game.

Thank you though! :)

Hey, I checked out your first episode and I really liked it so far. The issue with the audio is not as bad as one might've thought judging from the warning in the beginning. Seeing you play on the hardest difficulty, I am looking forward to more episodes. In my own Let's Play I chose the second difficulty and still manage to die... a lot.

volsung, I think you have a point here to some extend. For me the reason watchin Let's Plays at the beginning was getting past a certain point in a game or learning some of the mechanics etc. And luckily, there are many Let's Plays that provided that for me. But in time I enjoyed them more and more and it became pure entertainment where I would watch a person's playthrough eventhough he or she was terrible at it because it entertained me more than watching TV.

I've changed the thread title.

A Comprehensive Walkthrough!

Hey all!

Playing a harder difficulty?

Struggling with gold?

Maybe you haven't quite got the hang of combat?

Well, if you're fine with all these things, congratulations. You're a pro. You should keep reading anyway.

There's a new youtuber on the block (OMG ANOTHER ONE?!) and no, it isn't me.

But I really like his style, so I want to help him grow. He's doing complete coverage of the Hunt, releasing several videos a day, covering content ranging from story and lore, combat tips and tricks to side quests and moral choices.

If you want to learn, compare, or even get a few laughs in, check him out at - https//www.youtube.com/c/TheIrishTurtle

If it helps, he's got a British accent!

Hello Witchers!

I've also started a Let's Play at my channel. It is mostly a blind Let's Play so don't kill me if I haven't figured out all the mechanics. (If I die too often at fights I'll cut that out :), but I will explore and do side quests. I'll do inventory stuff, long looting and other boring tasks off camera through.

Hey guys!

I personally don't think Let's Plays are suitable for large, open world RPGs... I'm more of a fan of shorter, one-off videos when it comes to these types of games...

I haven't had much time for YouTube lately, but I managed to put together this little thing...

It'd be really cool if I could get your opinions on this kind of format, do you like this kind of calm, reserved, post-commentary; or a blind, reactional type of thing with raging, cursing, and stuff like that?

Didn't dare to post my Let's Play on here until now because I hadn't progressed so far, but now my Let's Play is taking big steps towards the endgame. It has to, because there are already 82 episodes for you to watch and there's one more coming your way every day.

1440p60 resolution for the latest episodes (earlier 1080p60) with Ultra settings on PC
Sign-intensity build
Book-references and inhaling all the lore, playing very thoroughly as well (don't worry, I do a lot of the monotonous ?-business off screen)
Having a good time while playing without taking myself too seriously - yet still paying tribute to this awesome experience.

This is my latest episode where Geralt slays Sarasti sporting the Enhanced Wolven Armour and we take on the DLC-quest about the Cat School:

if you want to watch it from the beginning.

If anyone wants to check out my first Witcher 3 video that I've done live, with a facecam (and only one so far), here it is:
(it's a contract so there are no spoilers)

Thank you for checking it out, there's a lot of hard work involved and I'd really appreciate any feedback and traffic.
