Ahhh, when it's done right, it's really good. I really appreciate that they decided to dub in Brazilian Portuguese

Mmmm... All I see in those comments is nit-picking and entitlement (ie. "If they dont match my language, they can go fuck themselves", "subtitles will show when sharing a pic of the game")...

This is really not a shocker, guys... Voicing a 100hours game is not cheap, they are doing it for markets they particularly want to invest in (like China) or that their sales for Witcher 1/2 went particularly well...
Most Spanish gamers should at this stage know thieir English, Id say, like other Europeans...

Very cool indeed, but...

And only possible because WB is in.

How was the witcher 1 and 2 in this respect? Did they sell the English or polish version with subtitles?

The games were sold with English dubs AND subtitles, like most AAA games. I'm not sure if you could change it to another language, though. I was so into the game that the thought of changing its language never crossed my mind. :D

Some people paid even more for Collector's Edition and they don't have their language dubbed as well.
There will be Spanish subtitles for sure, don't worry.

The game is not even being shipped to my country, forget about dubbing, I won't even get subtitles. But people always find room to complain, talk about being entitled...

That's... sad, yeah, that's sad, but!!! One more reason to play the game more than once! One dubbed, the other with original audio!!! hehehe

My point was - some people bought Collector's, spent twice more money that you, don't have dubbing, not even subtitles and don't complain.
You could also buy the game on GoG for about 40 euro, so it was your choice spending 70.

Aaaaand it's Markus Pfeiffer.

Sorry guys, but for an old scrotum, M.P. is just not suited. He also spoke Altair and Ezio and did an excellent job. But Geralt is -what?- 100 years old or smth and sounds like he is in his mid-twenties.
Oliver Siebeck's voice. Is. Just. Perfect. He IS The White Wolf, he sounds old, annoyed and growling. Just as I would imagine Geralt of Rivia. Pfeiffer is just too young. :(

I'm sad. And I shouldn't, cause the game's gonna be great. But...

Arguing that the game is not "complete" if it doesn't have your language. Ok.

This is not a question of rights. Where does it say CDPR have to dub the game in anyone's language? Nowhere.

You've got a full game, with your localisation, in subtitles.

Do you even know how much time and money it takes to do a full dub of a game like this? Nowadays games rarely have more than 3 languages dubbed, and Witcher 2 for example had 5 dubbed and 11 subtitled. They did as much as they could.

In my opinion they did more than what was needed. People should be thankful for that.

Just let Oliver Siebeck speak Geralt in the german version. For the love of Tamriel, please.

A good translation is vital for a game like this. And having a good and FITTING voice actor for your main character is even more important.
