Speaking of German voice actors I hope that for Emhyr we get Charles Dance's voice in GoT. Otherwise I think I will have to play the English version.

I didn't know that there was a German version. Thanks!

Well, I prefer not just Emhyr's but also Geralt's voice in English.

It's the fish that eats it's own tail. Right now Cd projekt its losing lot of sales, if you read spanish forums you can see how lot of people that was about to buy the game when launches now will wait a 10 or 5€ steam sale or even wrost (you know what I mean). So less sales they don't dub it, they don't dub it less sales. Off course CD projekt can do whatever they want as consumers can decide if buy or not. But here it showns the double moral of CD projekt remembering that they are a company like others, cos their marketing is selling we make games for the players and at the same time they are excluding players.

Fans can defend them all they want but there is no reason to do the things right, if the company wants can dub in various languajes and give the option to change languages, if they don't is not cos they can't is cos they don't want.

I dindn't complain when the witcher II was not dubbed (even when the witcher I was dubbed in spanish, horrible but dubbed) but it was like understandable cos wasn't a popular game, and it was focused on pc, CD projekt was growing, etc. But now? Witcher III is one of the most hyped games right now, Cd projekt has grown, Witcher II did a good sales overall, and it's going to launch also in consoles that means it would sell more. So probably the game is gonna sell millions of copies and they can't dubb it in spanish? C'mon!

Also if it's for money they can try to make profits in other ways, for example DCLs are not evil if they are well implemented, how many would have buy a witcher II DCL? I would. I bought the 4 big packs of borderlands 2 and very happy, they could have done the same with witcher II and have money to dubb now witcher III.

So, you basically say that when I got the shitty translation or dubbing, I shoudn't blame my distributor, but the creators themselves? Sorry, but it's just pile of bullshit. CD Projekt is not responsible for any dubbing, aside of Polish and (kinda) English one. All the decisions about translations, dubbing etc. are made by local distributors. Try to convince them to your reasoning, because CD Projekt has nothing to say about it.

Yes, that is true. You can see it on the GOG preorder page, in the FAQ section (Question 8.)

How my thread about Brazilian dubbing came here??? Hehehe, just kidding. You see, I agree with the guy that says that Doug Cockle is Geralt. That is true. And about the portuguese dubbing, why there is one guy complaining that it will be brazilian portuguese and not Portugal portuguese? It is the same language, gramatically, you know? We just speak diferently. Annnnnnnd... Brazil is the second largest consumer market for videogames, only behind the US, that's why WB decided to dub the games in brazilian portuguese and the local distributor for Spain decided not to. So, I guess someone from CPD saw my thread, even if it was just to move it here, hehehe.

What is the reason CDProject? That cost will include voices in Spanish?

I've asked @ BandaiNamcoES that are responsible for distributing the game in Spain. They said that the decision not to include voices in Spanish will is CDProject.

My question is, why?

Russian dubbing of trailers by 1C left me with mixed feelings.
Geralt's voiceover is still perfect, but Emhyr sounds terribly bad - he is voiced by same actor who had given the voice to Foltest in TW2 and he dubbed him in exactly same manner of speaking. And this manner doesn't match with Emhyr at all.
Also they didn't find the right soundfilter for voice of Eredin.

So, I guess that I'll play first couple of my walkthroughs with Polish or English dubbing with subtitles

Because it's expensive? Maybe in Spain it is really really expensive, and not worth the effort? The world is changing, on a global scale. The traditional EFIGS dubbing is not worth the effort anymore. That are other places in the world that expends more money in videogames than most countries in europe. I don't know about the first two games, were spanish voices included? Maybe the cast from the other Witcher games asked too much money to come back for the third one, or were not available, so CDP decided to not make the move at all?

Perhaps I'm the only one concerned with this but when I see Geralt I imagine an old, deep voice. A guy who sounds like he's fed up with most of the world, with a snarling, growling voice.
Except for the French voice all of them are too....throaty. Like they smoked too much tobacco, especially the english one.

Same happened to Deus Ex Human Revolution. I couldn't stand the english voice actor. The german alternative was awesome.

Just a quick comparison.

Best start at 1.08.

Idk if this is some kinda thing that people seem to like but I find deep voices more attractive than these extremely throaty guys.
And I don't want to have Geralt sound like a chain smoker. :p

Gaaah. I'm sorry. As a voice actor to be I'm just looking at these points from a different angle.
Welp, perhaps in the Extended Edition. Or I'll just hire Siebeck by myself. ;)

Looking for Portuguese speakers.... (I thought I might find some here).
Can anyone help out with this?

I may be wrong, but Google Translate is giving me "jogabilibidade" and "pensonagens" as Portuguese so that could be what he's translating from. Any help in understanding his query would be appreciated.

"Personagem" means character and "jogabilidade" means gameplay... other than that, it's quite hard to understand what he said, maybe a reverse google translate will help me, wait a minute.

I could be wrong, but I guess he is asking if, being a open world game, and for what they showed, a really big and beautiful one, will Geralt be able to run infinitely? And to use movement related skills in battle (running?)? If you could ask him to write the question in portuguese I could translate it better to the moderantion. Just ask him: "Você pode repetir a pergunta, em português mesmo, por favor?".

I understand the rage of some players against not having this game dubbed in their native language because patriotism or because they're used to get the majority of the games, books, media content in their native language.
I also accepted that my country has a lousy and crappy visibility in the european family and that's why we don't count in the gaming industry ( no PSN, not all online shops shipping to Romania, no most-wanted game of the year available preordering and no dubbing or subtitles in our native language). I can and I have to live with those limitations. I only feel bad about my fellow romanians that do not know a foreign language and miss such great games. For them I would want to have at least romanian subtitles.
The best thing would be to have support and infrastructure from CDPR to allow contributors to translate the games in all languages (subtitles only), something similar to what open source world has (i.e. KDE). Have no ideea if language packs can be pushed on PS Store / XBone store, though...

Just to highlight, TW3 will be provided with Spanish subtitles. Language packs are provided for all of the supported languages, and on TW2 additional languages were made available (subtitle only) when developed, sometimes by fans. I don't know what the situation will be on the console versions, but generally this has always been something CDPR have been OK about.

There are rumors that PlayUA negotiates about localization.

Hi Marcin. Now that the SKUs have been announced and pre-orders are available, can you comment on the Polish language option in the North American release on the PS4?
