Lines that beg to be said - SPOILERS

There's one thread in the forum for your favorite Witcher line (hard to pick, since there are so MANY fabulous lines), but THIS thread is for the lines you say in your head when the game gives you a great straight line. For example, Javed says something like, "Behold my Koschay -- the greatest killing machine ever," and my mind automatically completes the dialogue with "No, you stupid mage, *I* am the greatest killing machine ever."There are lots more places that beg for a line, but I won't hog them all. Tell me, what great straight lines have YOU noticed, and how did you complete them?Nimue, I'm especially looking at you here. *smile*

Some of the kids say to Geralt "you are tall and ugly" I wish Geralt could answer: "And you are wee and reek of dirt :p

MPetros! I have missed you, Kemo! Welcome back! Did you happen to notice if Vesna was in her Grandmother's house at the end of C1? I was curious whether "The Monster of the MIll" survived the carnage of The Beast. Although I have searched everywhere I have found no body that is definitely hers and did not see her at Grandma's. Did you?Corylea, this topic has had me giggling for a bit now. I am playing the Polish version and EVERYTHING begs me to say "something" to my screen. I don't understand ANY of it and have to sort of let my imagination "fill-in" the blanks. When Vesemir says "Triss", which to us sounds like Kiss - K + TR, he says Treece in Polish (Greece -G +T) and the way he draws it out and speaks it so lovingly, the LAST thing you would expect him to be saying is for Lambert to quit agitating her and leave her alone. The first time I heard it I stole a line from Candi ..."FTW! Vesemir!"

Ahoy Matey. :beer:I've been killing time playing Fable TLC while waiting for Witcher EE to be released. As for Vesna:
You will be happy to know that her grandmother still gives you the dialogue that Vesna is sleeping, and that you saved her. This is of course the original dialogue but it works out well in this case, especially after the slaughter. 8)

I hope you've played it in English at least once! A lot of the funny lines are said by townspeople as you walk by, and not all of those get written down. I'm still hearing new things, on my third play through.

Thank you! Another lineI answered "You're kidding right" and almost cursed at my computer screen when Vaska rewarded me for all my help, rescuing the brick makers from the Salamandra, and finally finding the lost boy, by allowing me to bathe in the swamp. :wall:

This implies that you aren't one of us. Hmmm...actually, that could explain a lot...the obsession with green...the unusual thought processes...having children in litters. *ducks*

I probably should have put quotation marks around "Silly Humans." to clarify that I was portraying the thoughts of the wildlife as they watched a bunch of skinny dippers bathing in their swamp. That said, probably the only regret I have had in my life was being born human. It has been the delimiting factor in so many things I wanted to do. (sigh wince ouch) If there is a heaven for those like me, I would imagine I shall spend eternity as a California Condor, hovering on the updrafts of an endless desert summer-wind, food free for the taking, not even having to flap my wings to fly. And before Red Dragon catches me plagerizing again, yes, the image was taken from "Black Sun", a novel written by Edward Abbey. Some call him the founder of Earth First. Others say he was just a free-drinking Park Ranger who jotted notes in his journal during fitful, fleeting moments of clarity while serving months at a time cut off from all humanity save for his 2-way radio, which he, btw, never keyed. (checks lap before continuing ...) I am fairly certain the "litters" were not had by me. (Checks lap again to be sure ...) I should like to think I would have remembered such ... trauma. :dead:

Well the most obvious one...
In the end when the Grand Master knocks Geralt's steel sword away and Geralt pulls out the silver sword, the Grand Master says "that sword is for monsters!" Geralt should have been able to reply, "I know."

Hey!!! Bummer, Thank You and thanks Thrughbull for doing me this favor, since it Was originally I who asked Thrugbull. The savegame is erased now but I recall the grandma saying something entirely different as I commented to Thrugbull then. She said, I did terrible things when I was a Young one too. So, nope no way to know if Vesna was al'right and this of course generated even more doubt, terrible things, getting punished, The Beast!!! You know what I mean. Once a Lover Always a Lover. And of course you want her to do al'right.

Ah, you probably get that dialogue if you met her later at the mill. The dialogue I got is what happens if you just rescue her and refuse any other payment.

Yep, I'll try that later then. Sometimes I just forget this game is still a game and that it functions like that, a piece of..software. I mean I entered the House the day after the rescue, I entered after the love making, and I entered afer The Beast and never did I got that one. You tend to associate the phrases with the most recent event of course.Ahoy and a Bottle Of Jack, Arghh

I dunno -- I think it would be fun for a person to be able to fly like a bird, but I've never seen a bird of prey that looked like it was having a good time, y'know? And hovering on updrafts all by yourself seems like it would get a little lonely after awhile. Personally, I think I'd rather be a river otter or a dolphin -- animals that play and socialize.
