Review of a german gaming site of the PS4 version of the game:

http://www.gamepro.de/playstation/spiele/ps4/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt/wertung/49235.html

in conclusion:
92% of 100 %

conclusion from the testers:

Michael Graf:
Games Stories are the war stories of our generation. This may sound cynical, but I mean it positively: While our grandfathers told us of shaping experiences in the dark ages, we report future generations possibly of shaping experiences in - games. And The Witcher 3 enriched my personal history fundus enormously. It's a game that I like to tell, and at every opportunity, because it is full of memorable experiences. Of course I do not want to spoil them now, I'm doing that in 30 years to some children. At the moment I'm just as much: It's one of the best games I've seen in recent years.

Of course the game is not perfect. The character system? Unsatisfactory. The Balance? Shaky. The gamepad operation? Suboptimal, although significantly better than had been feared. Of course these are weaknesses, which I will not conceal. But I do not conceal that they bother me in this grandiose Gesamtkunstwerk hardly. The Witcher 3 attracts, motivates, overwhelmes me to the pain barrier with Tasks. It amalgamated with apparent ease the narrative force of his predecessors (alone the decisions branches!) with a fantastic, welcoming, open and huge game world.

And to all the abundance CD Projekt has invested so much love in details, as I have not seen it - at least not in a full-price game. The Witcher 3 impressed not just with sheer size, but also put on a small scale fully enchanting surprises. From the feed ends horse to plunge animation, from hidden treasure to dialogues that serve purely the atmosphere. That is masterful. To give less than 90 points this game, would be hypocrisy. Who The Witcher 3 for this performance can not say, just did not understand what makes a good game. And I'll explain happy even in 40 years some louts!

Benjamin Danneberg:
2015 is a year that will go down in history for players. Because the amount of outstanding or even great games that came on our plates in the first half of the year is - compared to the previous years - breathtaking. And where Geralt's third adventure assigns here? It doesn't align oneself. It goes down and takes the scepter and crown to plant himself on a golden throne with that extra touch of arrogance, which it can afford, with a patronizing grin from down there and ask then: "Whoever wants to reach me the water"?

The Witcher 3 offers incredible attention to detail, incredible scale, incredibly good writing, incredibly well-developed characters and monsters, incredibly intense combat, incredible presentation, an incredible number of options, to develop the witcher and the history(ies), incredibly great looks and Geralt is just incredibly cool. And there are - compared to the monstrous extent - incredibly little bugs. Too much "Incredible," you say? Then I thought: You will simply be amazed.

Heiko Klinge:
16 years ago, when I read the splendid and decision heavily stories of role-playing masterpiece Planescape: Torment, I thought to myself how long it will take probably until those stories no longer play in my head, but they are really experienceable. It took exactly 16 years. The Witcher 3 is much more than just a fantastic role-playing, it's a new milestone and benchmark for the art of interactive storytelling.

Finally, there are no qualitative differences between the main story and more the side quests, every conversation with even the most insignificant figure was staged with the same attention to detail. At last my freedom of choice is no longer fooled or reduced to a few key points, but the power is from the first secondary task and the great finale in the player's hands. Everyone is The Witcher 3 experience differently, make different choices, explore other venues, experience other adventures or even miss them completely.

For short: Everyone writes their own story. Exactly this distinguishes games from books and films. So far, unfortunately, too often only in theory, in The Witcher 3 fascinating and entertaining practice. A practice in which the future will be measured every other story-driven games. So we define a milestone.

Maurice Weber:
The open-world arms race in recent years leaved me really quite cold. Three times the size of Skyrim! Five times larger than Arkham City! It's no skin of my nose , as long as the world is not well-filled - with exciting tasks and really interesting discoveries instead of just boring checklist gathering. And an RPG world is for me still primarily a venue for stories. It's this kind of story which let me dive into the world and push me forward. If it fails to do so, even a gaming world twice as large cannot compensate it, it appears only more soulless.

The Witcher 3 knows that and does everything right here in fact: It forgets at all free exploration not to tell a captivating main story and confronts me mercilessly with impossible choices. Moreover, it also saves on the secondary tasks not with memorable moments and characters. To miss nothing from this is for me the best motivation to ride out again and again in this wonderful world and to see what still awaits me there - I'm disappointed rarely.

Italian review from Spaziogames. PS4 version: http://www.spaziogames.it/recension...iattaforma/17803/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt.aspx

Rated 8.5
Pros:
- Huge and fully explorable
- Technically spectacular even on console
- Superb narration, also in secondary quests
- Dark and mature

Cons:
- Streamlined combat system, poor enemy IA
- Frame rate drops, many bugs
- Repetitive structure of the quests

I find it a good review even if many fans will cry scandal since the rating is lower than other sites and in fact the game is quite criticized.
In this interview http://www.spaziogames.it/recension...a/17804/the-witcher-3-domande-e-risposte.aspx he answers some questions.

Bottomline: world and narrative are 10/10, but he disliked the core gameplay, a 6 for him. Reasons of criticism: very predictable enemies and bosses with very few moves and dumb IA, hence combat is always the same and becomes boring soon. Witcher senses gets boring too after a while in a game this long. Tons of bugs but will probably be corrected with patches.
Bottomline: not the revolutionary game he expected, can be spectacular if you get carried away with narrative, otherwise lacking is some departments.
