List of announced improvements of patch 2.0 and Phantom Liberty

Point me the things I'm dismissing. Just because not everyone wants to swallow every drop of overhype and actually analyze and point the things as how they are has nothing to do with dimiss stuff or not. You just refuse to accept this is how things are and keep acting blind.

Now that's just unnecessary. I fully expect there will be some disparity between the beautiful picture CDPR painted and what we get. I just don't expect it to be as bad as you claim it will be.

That's called personal opinion, not criticism. Criticism points out the things how they are, you can like them or not but that's how they are. It's the neutral ground without makeup.
My personal opinion has nothing to do with this, in fact it is because of my personal opinion I still like Cyberpunk and I didn't just ditched it.

No, that's literally what criticism is. A very personal opinion. It can be factual but it's not necessarily factual. It's perceived faults. But what you perceive and what everyone else perceives isn't necessarily the same. You're stating your opinion as factual and I'm fairly certain plenty here disagree with it, especially when it comes to post-launch support and how much the game has improved over the last 2 and half years.

Okey, so then your point is because The Witcher is amazing, then Cyberpunk has to be treated equally even if the quality is way worse?
My point is and I think I shouldn't need to explain this, Cyberpunk was released badly, the fixes so far have been poor because obviusly they want to move to the next project already. So I'm gonna treat, judge and expect Cyberpunk as Cyberpunk, not as another totally not related game that has nothing to do with Cyberpunk other than the same devs. There is plenty of dev teams that made master pieces and then they did atrocious works. We can pretend this is not a thing and play blind, but I rather to just see the things as how they are and when ever they actually put same care and work on Cyberpunk like they did with The Witcher then Cyberpunk will have the same trust and treatment as The Witcher has and deserves.

I mean if ppl play blind like that and pretend the things are not how they are, yeah it won't change anything. You know why I am not overhyped anymore about any release? Thanks to Cyberpunk and many other releases this past years, this is exactly why Overhype is not a problem for me anymore. I don't expect big things from PL aslong as the expansion has the same treatment like this last 3 years so far.

You dismiss this because all the two games have in common are the devs but... that's the single most important part. If you take the devs away then the two games clearly cannot be on the same level. It's not the same people behind them. Furthermore, based on what CDPR has said about PL this Sunday, this is literally them applying the same level of care and thought into CP2077 that they did in TW3.

All I'm saying is that I think you should give them a chance before crapping all over them.

My personal opinion, I really want them to step up and actually make Cyberpunk as good as The Witcher is now a days, until I see it words are just words.

The same applies to your own opinion. Until the product releases, it's just negativity for the sake of negativity

.... and yet another thread that totally derailed.

Can't we just have a single one were we actually stick to the subject of the thread, please? I just wanted to see the list of improvements, sheesh.

Dear CD Projekt RED

I can't wait to see new clothing items. However, what I would really love to see are stockings and thigh highs available for V; I can see that they are already available for NPCs of Night City. I know mods exist, but it's annoying having to update and sometimes things can go wrong! I know what I'm asking a lot (and a bit niche even), but this would be amazing if you could do it. I, and along with some folks, will be more than grateful.
Always feel jealous when I see an NPC with those preem leg wears, and it really makes me feel incomplete. I know some will agree with me, although most probably wouldn't care.

Hope the team see my message, thank you for making such an awesome game! Thank you for not giving up on it despite the rough start.

Leo

You have nothing to point and also you agree with me and hate to accept that's how it is. Got it.

What I pointed and said is literally what is in the game and what they did, there is no personal opinion on this, we can literally turn the game on and I can show you point by point each of the things I mention.

Okey, so then now your point changes and you say they are not the same people and your answer is CDPR said, what CDPR says means nothing until the game is as what they say. They said many stuff from the game yet nothing changed. You must be playing a unique copy of the game or something because besides the gamebraking bug fixes the game doesn't feel even close to what they claimed and feels the same as the launch, so that's the reason why I don't trust any of their word related to Cyberpunk until they actually show it in the game.
All I'm saying is that I think you should give them a chance before crapping all over them.

Again, I didn't crap on them or said anything negative, if you have that vibe you have a issue with them, i just pointed out the current state of the game from the release and the way they worked on it. Honestly it feels like you just refuse to accept I didn't said anything negative about the game or anyone and only the fact of placing all the fixes and the way they worked during all this 3 years. If it makes you feel negativity I have a shocking thing to tell you, it's how they dealt with the game.

You have nothing to point and also you agree with me and hate to accept that's how it is. Got it.

If that was your takeaway from that, then there is truly no point in trying to have a conversation here.

We've hijacked this thread long enough.

Agree to disagree.

You said most of the stuff I said is dimissing CDPR claims, I asked you to point anything dismissing, you had nothing so you said "it's unnecessary" as an excuse. You also answered this to someone else asking for a clean thread:
If you don't have anything else better to do than just trolling around and try to escape as soon as you take an L just keep it to yourself. I'm not gonna bother to reply to you again.

The unnecessary part was you telling me I'm acting blind. It's unnecessary attacks. The meme was obviously a joke and I also gave @krashlog a redpoint to further push that point to him.

Please do. I really just wanted to clarify my position on the above but by all means, ignore me if you want, I couldn't care less.

So after the massive disappointment on the launch of the game, I see a lot of people overhyping PL just from words. Words from the same people that promised something really way better than the Cyberpunk game we have. I think it is fair to make this list of things people are talking about with a reality check of what to expect in a realistic way to avoid another massive disappointment.

Skill tree rebuilt from scratch with new abilities. This is the 3rd or 4th time, just a way to fix bugs or things that don't work, I don't expect super awesome new skills.

Improved inventory management and information. 3rd or 4th time again. I don't expect an absolute change on the inventory.

Improved HUD. Ok?

The clothes will only be aesthetic. Armor is indeed linked to Cyberware but actual armor - breast plates, plate carriers, etc. will still have armor stats. No more hobo clown clothes armor. This one is related more with the wardrobe/presets bug, what a better way to fix stats not applying when changing clothes? Just make them without stats, problem solved. Will see if Cyberware has many more options or they just added 3 - 4 new pieces and put all the clothes stats with RNG on the current Cyberware.

New clothes. 2 - 10 new pieces. Maybe an outfit of a character related to the expansion.

Abilities, will be linked to the cyberware. The translation is, we added bonus damage/cooldown on the skill trees that apply to some Cyberware now like the mantis or Gorilla arms.

New weapons. Probably 2 - 5 new weapons, Ok.

New Cyberware. As said before probably 1 - 5 new pieces related to some character.

A cyberware limiter that prevents us from getting too rough with chrome. Cyberpsychosis will not be reached. What I know is the more Cyberware you have the more your HP will be reduced, ngl cheapest and laziest way to "simulate" Cyberpsychosis if that's true.

New vehicles. Again probably 2 - 5 new cars revamps of actual cars already in the game or maybe new who knows.

Ability to get all vehicles in the game through purchase or missions. This is already in the game. ???

Purchase or use of armed vehicles and whose destructive capacity can be improved. Ok.

Police rebuilt from scratch, it will be totally different. 1st time wasn't even a fix, let's see how bad is gonna be this 2nd time.

Huge expansion of enemy AI. Ah I know this one, enemies have bigger % of covering and chasing you when they are hit. This could been a thing since the release of the game. Don't expect big brain IQ enemies.

Enemies chasing the player. This one should be added to the last one but adding another line makes it feel there is more changes.

Enemy archetypes have been redone to give more variety. 2 - 3 new presets of enemies of each gang.

The pedestrians are mostly bug fixes. They will be lifeless NPCs as always.

The difficulty curve is different. Ok?

The UI and UX have been greatly updated. 5th time or 6th time, can't wait to see the same UI.

Improved Vehicle Driving. This is a classic.

Attack from vehicles. Another basic thing NPCs can do since the release but you don't.

Endings in PL will affect the base game. Slightly dialogue changes of the existing endings.

Improved physics. As an example, they have said that vehicle tires can be destroyed. Tires will go boom when the physics glitches and bumps the vehicle through the ground, it's gonna be fun.

Fights between factions from vehicles. Picked the script of the random event chases already in the game with cops and gangs and swaped the cops for other gangs. This could been since the release of the game.

Small orders or missions that are generated randomly. Expect something repetitive like daily missions in online MMOs.

Radiant quests. Secondary quests related to the expansion.

Enemies chasing you with their vehicles if you run away. They finally had the brilliant idea to recycle the script from "Dancing on a Minefield" and actually let the gangs chase you. Already in the game if you want to experience it.

They've overhauled the weather and atmosphere as well. Improved Character models. Expect 1st person view driving still flashing you like if you were in a MW2 from 2009 Search and Destroy match, but now the flashbang is more beauty.

This is not a hate post btw, is a reality check of what to expect after [...] disappointments bringed to most of the players. I will be happy if they prove me wrong and actually made the game as good as they say. Trust is something hard to recover.
I don't think it's bad that your criticism helps moderate expectations. We have discussed thousands of times the frustrations that Cyberpunk 2077 generates for many players, which is loved for its incredible moments and hated for its shortcomings, being a new generation AAA game.

I think there is a progression between the game of December 10, 2020 and the current game, it is more solid, more debugged and more enjoyable. Without a doubt CDPR in September puts the finishing touch and wants to take our experience with this game further.

We are going to receive more explanations, more demonstrations, for now we are going to list what news we will find, we will have time to draw our final conclusions and how far Red Engine has been able to squeeze in this game that has posed so many challenges to CDPR, some insurmountable and that we have what to accept

I think that despite everything it will continue to be worth enjoying the expansion to live the story intensely and where CDPR has not worked, hopefully the modders can give us more.

They've moderated their pitch and marketing, their improvements may be much stronger this time around and help make our experience better, I think they will.

If CDPR don't allow false rumors or false information about the new features to be created, they will be preventing the big ball of shit from being created again. They are being cautious and accurate in the information they are providing.

There's an interview with Amatangelo in portuguese on a website where he says that even the food was remade.

Roughly translated:

Surely they refer only to visual content. It would be wonderful for me to be able to eat or drink realistically, but I will continue to dream.

The modder Deceptious has already given us an option for that, it's not complete but it has a lot of merit.

The game is visually beautiful, this whimsical engine has very good features.

Well, based on context alone it does sound like he only meant visually changed but considering the extent of the changes and that the necessary animations were already in-game AND that this expansion seems to be dedicated to offering what players asked for....

I don't think it's wishful thinking that such a minor thing made it in the expansion. I mean, don't hold your breath of course but it is something that's been requested a lot.

Going to a bar or a restaurant, asking the waiter and taking me out of the game to a panel to choose food like in games from the 90s is a slap in the face for me.

Hopefully CDPR has invested some time in these things, because WE ALREADY KNOW IT'S NOT A SURVIVAL GAME, but don't break our immersion choom!!!

Apparently there is going to be some extra content regarding romances in the dlc! What and how much it doesn't say but good to hear that they are giving the romances attention.
@LadyMiseryAli will be very happy with this news that you have given.

That's definitely a "to each his own" kind of thing because I personally do not care one bit about this. I don't mind if they add it but it won't add or substract to my experience at all.

But, like I said, it was one of the most common request I saw so it would make sense that they add it at this point. I would assume through 1.7, not through PL itself so everyone gets access to it. Of course, it's pure speculation at this point in time
