New entry on the Cyberpunk Blog:
Here the devs look hard on the existing cyberpunk games: This time: Dystopia( A Half-Life2 professional Mod).

I sincerely hope they dont go that route for Cyberpunk 2077...

A good challenge ahead, though... the first 5 people that guess which game they will analyse next time will have the game for free!!!

LOL. I think he's referring to Hard Reset... but I could be wrong. Deus Ex would be too easy.

They should review it as Hard Reset is a Polish made game that has retro cyberpunkish themes with amazing graphics and atmosphere. And part of CDPR's old team as well.

They are talking about cyberpunk theme and general idea of cyberspace that, to tell the truth looks cool in Dystopia. Also if cdpr want to make fps game out of cyberpunk, just keep rpg system away of fps mechanics, don't make a mess with % chance of hit and lvling on top of aiming, it didn't work in fallout 3, just try to make good skillbased nonlinear shooter with dialog options and c&c, and if you want to use rpg system PLEASE, don't make it fps or tps, these genres are simply not working with pnp systems. Gonna check that dystopia btw.

That would be really cool. Also i think that gameplay like in messiah would work great with pnp system. I mean this game:

Obviously im talking about changing bodies but shooting mechanics. Great 3rd person game with no manual shooting, there is place for great action and for system, player can't just manually evade all dmg and snipe everything, his character also need to be tough.

Yup! Also, don't forget to drop your comments with your ideas for Cyberpunk:)

"Many of you mentioned other great games set in Cyberpunk universes like the Deus Ex series or even Hard Reset from the guys at Flying Wild Hog; so why don’t you post the name of your favourite Cyberpunk themed game, followed by the one ingredient that makes it your favourite Cyberpunk game of all time!"

Just picked up Syndicate myself. This is making me eager to play it. I think I'm gonna have to mention Beneath A Steel Sky.

Aver, you’re gonna compile all the links in the OP, right? Just making sure because I don’t wanna end up having to comb through 10+ pages just to find all the relevant info :3

New post is up, people: http://www.cyberpunk.net/blog/not-only-the-cyberchef-has-his-taste-more-about-inspiration/

System Shock please come to GOG

Uh-oh...that reads a bit like a disclaimer. And a necessary one. To me it's good they're establishing right from the start this won't be a slavish digital copy of CP2020, but an adaptation. Also, this made me laugh:

"As much as we would like to implement every single feature from the original Cyberpunk 2020 and to get as many different amazing game features into the game as possible, we are only demi-gods and our powers are limited by that speck of human blood. "
