Watched through the whole sequence. Lovely man...but that is just alpha footage i believe they mentioned. So that explains why tehre is no blood, decapitations and other aesthethics. But this intial outlay is already so fanstastic looking! So guys dont think this is the final build and freak out ok?

Okay, info from today’s W2 presentation:- Story begins two months after W1. Geralt is asked by Foltest to travel across the country with him and restore order- The trailer with Bad Guy bringing head to elve’s cave is taking place before game starts- Vernon Roche (guy who is Geralt’s companion) is Foltest’s guy. He is also in charge of fighting non-humans unit- In W2 you can join different sword-strikes, magic, finishers, blocks and dodges into one string- In the forest you have to look after yourself. There is no level-scaling so entering dangerous places at the beginning could be suicidal idea- No horses- Those goblin-like monsters are called “nekkers” (in Polish, I also written as I heard it, so it could turn out to be written differently)- Those fractions mentioned before – there would be different fractions at different locations.- You could cut off limbs- About TPP camera – there will be many camera modes, adjusting to current situation (in combat, indoor, walking etc)- About decisions to be made in short time while in dialogue – it would appear in dialogue when situation needs quick reactions. It won’t occur in every dialogue. Reds are inspired by Heavy Rain in this one- They want to every one new ability give us something new – a signs, a strike etc. There won’t be “+10 to stamina” stuff- Geralt’s development (while in game) is more complicated than in W1- RotWW is frozen, CDP would like to return to this project, as they believe it could achieve success, but definitely not this year.- Animation system is just-started to be worked on, so is mimicsWell, they showed us mostly the same what guy on Gamespot has seen and described yesterday. And Dev Diary #0 (english subs) - http://plej.gazeta.pl/plej/0,0.html#kanal=Wiedzmin,typ=polecane,film=86632_7701000

The Dev Diary video was great, graphics look unbelievable and if this is what we get in the game then I am very happy. The no level scaling I don’t like and not sure on the “About decisions to be made in short time while in dialogue “, I like to decide when to speak and not the game. Also Geralt is no longer Geralt, so please return the original Geralt. Edit: Changed my mind on level scaling, thought it meant you could not raise level by fighting.I also like the no level scaling. :)

LOVED the dev diary -- thanks so much for that link, Szypek!I'm very happy that there won't be level scaling of combat. And I love the idea that the moral choices and their consequences will be even more interesting and important than they were in TW1. To me, making those choices was the core of TW1, was a big part of what made The Witcher so special, and I'm glad that the devs are not just continuing but even expanding that element.*sigh* It all sounds impossibly wonderful. But then, the first game managed to be impossibly wonderful. Except that it turned out not to be impossible after all, because they did it. ;)I seem to recall that Mobidoy was given some special "Community Hero" designation for services to the Witcher community. Can we have Szypek26 declared a Community Hero, please? He's been astonishingly generous and helpful to the international community, and I'd like the man to get some official recognition. (I mean, I thank him a lot, but who am I? ;))
