I like their intentions & approach.. but yeah..
What irks me the most as somebody who has been training boxing for 20 years come a few months from now and trains some women & kids in different MMA aspects... it's more blatant now to see with the rise in everybody wanting to have boxing matches like the youtubers and slam dunk champions... when I go into photo mode and cycle through to the fighting stance.... I can't begin to explain how absolutely insane this drives me, because it's so in your face with all the amateur-celebs...
when I start with people, I tape their elbows in and we just focus for weeks on footwork and body movement... When I see the bird wings, the elbows all up and out to the side... I lose my mind.. in the photomode, V has this stance.. I've overlooked a lot of different things that are slightly off.. but I just can not over look this..
IDK nothing about making a video game or the technology and the computer stuff that goes into all that.. but if you can put them motion suits on keanu reeves... can't you just go to a reputable gym or some of these retired boxing or MMA legends and get them to do the motion for this stuff? Same thing with certain aspects of combat with tactics and weapon manipulation... In USA, every other ex tier 1 & 2 operator is a firearms & tactics instructor... I don't understand the disconnect here, but again I don't understand how all the game making stuff works.. Maybe I'm thinking of things that aren't doable IDK..
I've always wondered.. Couldn't they just bring in 4-6 guys for the motion suits, set up various scenarios and rooms and stuff and then have them provide a half dozen different possibilities & approaches per scenario and then have the games generate accordingly? Both with firearms & tactics and hand to hand combat.. then everything looks appropriate, or at least close enough..
again.. IDK anything about how this stuff works but in my mind this seems like something that makes sense.
