Loading screen bug on PC, close to end of game. (Spoilers)

Experiencing a loading screen bug with an endless loading screen. When I've finished investigating the bear attacks during the quest line where you help choose a king, after the cutscene before returning, it'll go to a black loading screen with the gold spinning icon and stay there permanently. There are 2 paths to take and I tried them both, and both lead to this bug. It permanently hinders my progress and I cannot move forward.

Specs:
OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit
CPU: i5-3570K CPU @ 3.4 GHz (4core)
MEMORY: 16 GB ram
GRAPHICS: Nvidia GTX 670 4033MB
DISPLAY: 1920 x 1080

The same problem occurs during the shrieker (cockatrice) contract quest line in Velen. After you loot it's body it goes into an infinite loading loop. My guess it's a cut scene where you take the shrieker's (cockatrice's) head. So it could be a cut scene that is not synced up with everything else.

Upsetting that this is happening to more people, but at least if it is a decent sized group it should get fixed. It seems a patch may be required, has anyone tried reinstalling the game to any success?

Yeah, it doesn't work, unfortunately.
