Loading Screen Voice Actor

Something is bugging me for a while now... why did they choose a different voice actor for the loading screens? It is Dandelion's narration (something that I doubted for a very long time because of the voice actor) and he is in the game... why taking another voice into the game??

Completely agree. Strange design choice. Not a huge deal, but a thought I had several times. Repoint for you.

It is from the perspective of Dandelion as an old man.

Yeah, totally... it is not a big deal, but it is really weird.

Sounds like a fan-made excuse. Or did some developer state this?

Its the only logical explanation, I was actually expecting a scene after the story with an Old Dandelion telling people of Geralt's stories

I'd like to think that Dandelion's voice when he's grown old and matured, I'd not be able to stand to play the game if I had to hear his actual in game voice over and over again.

It's definitely from and older version of Dandelion - in one of the screens he says: "I, the bard Dandelion..."
I'm not a huge fan of this gruffy voice. All in all, having the loading screens voiced feels a bit odd. I prefer reading game and life tips in them (like the one that we're not supposed to eat yellow snow :D).

It sounds like an old man. It is contextually Dandelion. It is not the same voice as Dandelion in game. It is a recounting of Geralt's entire tale.

It has been done before.

Not a huge logical leap here.

The narration reminded me of the opening cinematic from the first game. It was very atmospheric. My only problem is they should limit it to not play every time you load an area.
