Loading Screen Wait

First of all let me say that I love this game, you truly have made an amazing game, beautiful and fun to play. It is the first game I have played in a long time that I have actually played all the way through more then once. I was playing new game plus, but I am waiting for a fix since I was using all wolven gear, but at least Hearts of Stone is out. I have been enjoying that, but since patch 1.10 I have noticed something that is sort of taking away from the experience......an insane loading time. I am playing on Death March, so I am dying more then I usually do since I am learning about the new creatures... like the Toad Prince. My issue is that when I die, my load times are now at a minute to get back into the game. It sort of breaks the experience......here I am waiting to get back in and go.....only to have a minute load time. I find myself going and doing other things, browsing the internet, all sorts of things that break me away from being immersed in the game. It's a shame, not sure what happened, or if there is anyway to cut down the load time, but please, please fix this so I can feel totally immersed in the game and story again. Thanks, and again.....thank you for such a good game.

I registered to this forum just to agree with this post. It is very frustrating having to wait a whole minute during the loading screen after dying, especially when playing on Death March. Please fix this, its taking the joy out of this expansion.

I've noticed this too and I have a Hybrid HDD. It definitely takes way longer to load now.

The only reason I care about dying in this game it's the load times. A massive multi GB patch that fixes a bunch of weird rare bugs very few encounter but didn't get the basics right. Been like this since day one. My first playthrough was good, but my second post 1.5 has been a buggy mess..

So as not to give any of the story away, I got past the first trophy/Witcher Contract Boss and did the next mini boss on death march. It took some time to learn their abilities and I think Death March itself seems a little harder, but after multiple deaths in each fight I have kicked the difficulty down. Not because its to hard, I enjoy a challenge, but I got tired of the loading screen. It really took me out of the story. In Witcher 3 the Wild Hunt I was so engrossed with the story, it was amazing, but I am having a hard time getting the same level of enjoyment because of the wait. It's weird, when you write.....it takes a minute to load now.... that sounds stupid and a petty gripe, but it really kills the getting into the story

Oh not stupid at all, I did exactly the same thing. I was level 37 and decided to start a NG+ but after getting slaughtered by ghouls several times and waiting an eternity for the game to load, I just deleted my NG+ save and decided to keep playing in a lower difficulty.

The wait times for this game for it to load things is indeed staggering.. Haven't seen any game the last 25 years that is so poorly optimized and written as the witcher 3

2 minute wait for a save to load... Are you joking?

Have to make sure not to die in the game as this again will take 2+ minutes... This will get old very fast. Takes all the imersion out of the game.

Hopefully for their next game they will have some proper QA inhouse or more realistic ideas on what gamers expect from a game these days.

install 1.10 patch, "Wow it actually loads faster now!" buy HoS and install, "YOU"VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME "

I regret making this purchase. Really. I would not recommend anyone buy HoS. Its 10 hours of content is not worth tripling the loading times for the 200 hour standard game.
