long live the king drinking

long live the king drinking

Pre.S. I played this before; this is new game not plus.

I just got to the "long live the king" quest in the dinning hall.
At various times you can drink or not.
I read Yennefer gives different replies depending on your drinkingness.
Google seems to be no help.
What it the difference?
Is the race harder, the animal fight harder?
I don't think there is any difference in the game, just Yennifer's reply; is the true?

P.S. If you are following Yen to the Great Hall but take a side tour it says some funny things.

Also, just before you talk to Yen you can go to the left to get to various places.
There seems to be a platform down to the right, can you get there by falling?
I keep dying; I don't know if there is an invisible death wall.
The locked door might lead there but, of course, it is locked.

I was sailing around Mount Trolde to get to the top, the race will be there, and I saw King Bran's fire-engulfed boat sailing away.
I couldn't get on it though.
I wonder if it is still there at this point in the game.

There didn't seem to be any difference when Geralt drank in my playthrough, Yen just glared at him a bit but he didn't even get drunk. Race/Fight were exactly the same difficulty. I'll have to take that detour when following Yen to the Great Hall on the next playthrough! :D

As for King Bran's funeral barge, I tried swimming after it as soon as the funeral was over but it always stayed exactly the same distance away (it even went through an island) so never could get on it :(

I also thought that there would have been some funny events if I let my Geralt drink. Sadly nothing happened :(
