Loss, moving on, and a Thank You.

+
There are a few things I wish to mention here. It was supposed to happen before the game released but corona put a lot of things on hold.

So... first off... a big, big thank you to all the developers who worked so much and continue to work on this and any past and future games. You've given us stories of love, loss, conquest and disaster. Small scale moments of emotions that stay with us for long after we moved on, and epic stories that grip us, shake us, and in some cases shape us. For all your love and effort for your games, your worlds, and for us the fans, THANK YOU.

Second, I had a younger brother by name of Matej. He passed away on 17th of May, 2018 at age 23 in a car accident. He did not live to see the release of Cyberpunk2077. His excitement for it was as great as his love for you and your games. His personal favorite was Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. He was drawn to the stakes of what was going on and what impact it would all have on the world of Witcher, as well as having one of his favorite video game characters, Letho.
You have inspired him to start learning about video game development and before the accident he was working on a game with a few of his friends.
Matej was a great brother and a friend to many. Humble, caring, intelligent and hardworking he earned the respect and love from many around him through his virtues.

In loving memory of him, out of respect for you and your work, for the past and the future. I wish to gift You the developers and have given myself a permanent mark of loss, of learning to move on and a reminder for all the ways the living and the dead impact and shape our lives through their actions, whether they are big or small.

This work was done by Martina Pavelić at Jenny Tattoo.
Thank you for your work, all of you.
To all who suffered loss, I wish to express my condolences.

To quote Rainer Maria Rilke:
Let everything happen to you,
beauty and terror.
Just keep going.
No feeling is final.

Why this post tho?

May he rest in peace and God bless him.

I think this kind of things must be kept private.

And i mean my mother died last year so i appreciate any kind words, but this kind of sensitive topics should be in private.

God bless.

Because it is an appreciation post for the developers who worked hard to create things that gave us a great time and influenced our lives, his life in a significant way too. And it is a way of remembering him.
it doesn't have to be private and I can't just make up a reason for posting a tattoo to hide the reality. As tragic as it is it's not a taboo. I wished to express gratitude to the devs and show that these games meant a lot to us. So this is for them. Especially now with all the hate still being very prevalent towards CDPR.
