Lost my relic sword after a quest on PC - is there any way to get it back?

I'm new to the forums, so apologies if this has already been discussed.

I'm playing The Witcher 3 on PC and ran into something I wasn't expecting. After finishing one of the quests where Geralt temporarily loses his equipment, I noticed that one of my relic swords never came back. My armor and the rest of my gear were returned, but the sword is just gone from my inventory and stash.

I tried loading an earlier autosave, but the same thing happened again. Unfortunately, I don't have a manual save from before starting the quest.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a location where confiscated weapons are stored, or is this a known bug? I'd rather avoid using console commands if there's an in-game way to recover it.

I've heard of it happening. If no reload is available, try:

1.) Make sure you didn't accidentally turn any inventory filters on.
2.) Exit and restart the game. Sometimes, it will repopulate in the stash.
3.) Try transitioning zones then waiting for ~3 days (pass time), and check the stash again.
4.) Unequip everything from the character model in your inventory screen, then exit and re-enter inventory. Start equipping everything again. I've read that sometimes make missing inventory items reappear.

5.) You're on PC, so if all else fails, you can just use a console command to force-spawn it back in. (Definitely the shortest distance between two points.)
