Lots of crashes

+
Every time I play, after a few minutes, everything freezes and it flatlines. I have updated drivers, updated windows 11, everything. my specs are:
RX 7800XT
32 GB DDR5
Ryzen 5 7600

I've tried limiting my frames and lowest graphics and it crashes the same. I just now bought the game and dlc and is really annoying to try and troubleshoot.
I also have an SSD with plenty of space

Distinction:

1.) I have not ever used mods at any point in the past.

-or-

2.) I used to use mods, but I uninstalled them.
I have never even gotten redmod yet, no mods whatsoever in the past. Also I am on GOG and whenever it crashes, amd's driver software says driver timeout occurred, but i have tried reinstalling my drivers and the game 3 times now, but when I am in the cyberpunk launcher, it says that my drivers are out of date at the bottom. I think it is a gpu problem because stacktrace says gpu crash for unknown reasons.

Hopefully, support will find an answer for you. Possible that it could be REDlauncher. Have you tried launching directly from the game's .exe?

Which channel is your memory module inserted in, the second and fourth channels can it better utilize computer performance

This depends on the make and model of the motherboard. Some have masters in slots 2 and 4, some have the masters in slots 1 and 3. 2 and 4 are definitely the most common, though.

This would likely not affect the functionality or stability of the RAM itself, however. It would simply be running at the lower, slave slot clocks speeds.

i have my slots at 2 and 4 but I'm pretty sure it is my graphics card because whenever it crashes, I get a windows notification saying that "Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware," but I have yet to find a solution that works and support hasn't gotten back to me yet

"Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware,"
1.) What sort of system do you have? (Laptop, desktop, store bought, custom built, etc.)

2.) Windows version?

3.) Do you see this error with any other game?

4.) Where is the program installed (including the complete installation path)? Example:
C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\...

"Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware,"

This is typically a drivers issue or a faulty hardware issue. Typically.

I know you already indicated having reinstalled your drivers but how did you reinstall them? I'm an Nvidia boy, so I have no idea if AMD offers something similar but Nvidia has a full reinstall option in it's software.

People use that thinking it really cleans their system from drivers before installing new ones but in my experience, it doesn't. Did you use something like that or did you use something like DDU to properly scrub your system from your graphics drivers And then reinstalled them?

If it's the former, please use DDU to clean your drivers and reinstall them.

If you've already used DDU to do it all, is your GPU working correctly? Are you monitoring it as you begin to play all the way to the inevitable crash?

If yes, what temperatures are we looking at here? Do you have any other game that is as demanding on your GPU to test it out on?

I have seen this error pop up because of something as simple as one of the GPU's fans not working.

Have you taken a look at your event logs in Windows around the time you crashed? Something like that is bound to have created critical errors which could give you some insight as to what is happening.

I did use DDU to reinstall my drivers and AMD's cleanup service, and it worked for about an hour before it started having crashes again. I play a lot of Black Myth Wukong as well and im pushing around 150-200 in medium settings there with a very good and steady gpu temp and haven't had any crashes. Support told me to get rid of a few folders and use some old drivers so i will try that.

I have a custom built on 10.0.22631 windows 11 and i don't have this issue on any other game, but this is the only game I play on gog. I have the game installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\Cyberpunk2077.exe"

Hm. Yeah, follow up with Support on this one. I'm gonna guess it's something with the installation or the RED Launcher.

Is that a clean installation of Win11? Or did you happen to upgrade from Win10 or an earlier version of Windows?

So I don't know what happened, but I played on my 3060 and it worked at max graphics really well, and I switched back to my AMD pc and now it works just fine. Maybe they did an update or something on my driver or game. Thank you guys for all the help though!

No idea. But if it's working, praise The Great Pumpkin! Game on.

Since we’re on the talk of bugs. I’m a ps5 player and I’ve had many bugs regarding the grainy look on textures. Not only that but I’ve had multiple Fov glitches in the story. For example when yorinobu was giving his grand speech with his robe that rivals rapunzels hair, my Fov just skyrocketed. Literally. Idk what caused it but all I know is that my field of view went way past what it was capped at for pc players. I mean it felt like V could just see the future 😂. But in all seriousness are these bugs common for a lot of people or did my ps5 just have a meltdown?

Those who have Nvidia, in the Nvidia Control Panel, surround, PhysX settings, changing PhysX settings from Automatic to your graphics driver also might help someone who have a lot of crashes.

Please, keep the focus of this thread to crashing issues similar to the one above. If you want to discuss other types of bugs, just begin a new post or add on to a post that is along the lines of what you're seeing. (Keep in mind that the 10-post requirement for new members does not apply to the Technical pages. You can post new topics for technical issues right away.)
