Low fps

Hello there,

I have an issue with a fresh installed WItcher 3 GOT edition.
No matter what graphical options I select, I have the same low amount of fps.

The amount does not change really on low or on very high settings.

Additionally, the game is very smooth while checking the World Map, switching between tabs and loot, managing items. Everything works great. Just the pause menu and the game itself gives me a slide show.

My specs:

processor: i7 7700 2.8 GHz
RAM: 16 GB
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1050Ti

Can someone point me in the right direction of solving this issue?

What fps are you experiencing?
Using any mods?
Also make sure to avoid over or underclocking cpu, gpu... - that can cause problems too.

In general, I would recommend experimenting with the TW3 vsync settings and in some cases it‘s best to limit the framerate to something between 30 and 60, depending on your system.

And it‘s best to close all background applications with overlay function.
