Low performance ingame (Very low)

Okay, so I recently bought The Witcher 2 and I installed it and so on, but when I started playing on Medium specs it was all laggy and very low fps, like 4-10 mostly... I then tried to put it to low specs, but still the same result... Even on Uber spec it's the same as low (But the graphics are so much prettier

According to the DX-Diag-file you posted, your graphics drivers are from late 2010 - so it seems that something has gone wrong with trying to update them. So, that's probably it.

Besides, your video card isn't really fast. I think it might/should give you solid FPS in quite low settings, but I doubt anyone played it on High with a slower rig than that.

The 6470M, which is the GPU that your laptop has, is not really up to the game. It's a 160-shader DDR3 GPU, comparable to a desktop 6450, though it's an improvement over the earlier 80-shader 4550 and 5450.

Your mate probably has a much better GPU (even if it's older). You'll get some improvement by updating to the current drivers, just don't expect a miracle.

I suggest going to HP and getting all available updates for your laptop . If you haven`t been there before you will need to enter your laptop serial . example : Pavilion G7 ####xx
HP

I think the latest AMD driver at HP is 11.4 CAP 1 from May 6. The full set of drivers from HP will help, but you may then need to go to AMD and get the latest driver directly from them.

Holy sh... I didn't expect so many to help me and so fast wow :p

Well my goal is to atleast play on Low with somewhat no lag, I don't mind a major setback on my graphics... I need to get something straight when updating my drivers... I have to find every ATI folder and delete them right ?

Someone told me to do that and then install the right drivers (Really hard to find since HP doesn't reveal what PC I got (There's 40 different of my series, but the website I bought it from told me which (fail)))

I tried the suggested from this site when it mentions ATI and I tried on their of website (However didn't knew extract model... Lol I'm gonna try now)

Anyway thanks for the help everybody, I'll try to get it working

I think you may find that a certain software called driver cleaner or something like that would be quite helpful. It is very smart about finding every last bit/byte related to your ati driver and will remove it from your system. As for updating your drivers, a lot of times companies like HP and Dell etc they stop releasing updated drivers for their hardware especially if it gets a bit long in the tooth so you won't have the latest and greatest drivers. But good luck!
