It is difficult to say, because there are still a few major problems I don't know how to solve yet. But I'll promise that I get Lykaon out before The Witcher 3 ;)

Classic Fleder and Forest Fleder in Lykaon

@Benzenzimmern
Bruxa in TW2 is little dissapointed (why she can fly without wings?). Maybe should you use her model from TW1?

That would be difficult, since there is no fitting female "skeleton" in The Witcher 2 for the Witcher 1 model to use that is able to fight like a Bruxa, so I would have to use animations from The Witcher 1. And getting the animations into the Witcher 2 with a working AI and behavior is very difficult and takes a lot of time.

The Fleder as an example can use the Drowner skeleton from The Witcher 2. The little Griggs and Mamune I got from The Witcher 1 can use their old animations, because they don't really have an AI and just repeat some "idle animations".

Somewhat off-topic, but why is this thread in TW1 mods section? It really should be in TW2 one.

Some old threads of the old Witcher 2 mod section were moved here after the new forum launch, because The Witcher 2 mod section is now the Redkit forum and Lykaon as an example has another thread there, but more about the "modding aspect" and how to do things than simply news about the mod.

Looking really impressive. Love the scenes where there's mist hovering over the ground. The map must be pretty damn big by now.

The map itself is not bigger than in the demo, but the playable space is. Now nearly everything that was just "backround" before is playable (like the other side of the river).

Edit: Too much text, we need some more pictures ;)

Some testing with the old head of Geralt (that he sported in the E3 2010 trailer of The Witcher 2) with an updated texture of his current head:

Ps: You can find the old Geralt model in "engine/characters/witcher" if you have Redkit.

Edit: Original

Looks weird. And it's not just because of the floating head.

The side profile looks good. The front face shots well...the chin looks to long maybe and the lips look to big maybe idk. Might look better with a beard :)
I think in the new trailer when Geralt says "I returned". His face looks perfect awesome.

Yeah, you are right. I also thing that he looks quite well from the side, but the "current Geralt texture" combined with the old head gives him a very weird look. I was very surprised that it even fit him (I did not need to change anything about the texture). Since I still find it interesting to have the possibility of "another Geralt" (as an example for mods that show him as a very young Witcher), I will try to work on the texture a bit.
A greater problem would be that the head has no "face bones", which means he is not able of facial animation. Sure, Geralt is not Jim Carrey, but it still shows. Another Redkit modder called Tekoppar might be able to help me, since he knows a lot more about this stuff.

Edit: Current progress (he still looks a bit weird tough)

An interesting evolution seeing them side by side. They nailed the finished look. I hope it's the same in TW3.

Another face might better fit with your voice actor you have for Geralt, but yeah, the front looks weird.

I'd say this is already looking very promising.

But yea, I don't know if much can be done with that model, Benz. When RED tried to rework it, they ended up with Geralt's final model.

What do you think about hairband? It appear in "The Rise of the White Wolf" mod:

Will Geralt's face in TW2 look good with hairband?
