I must say I'm taken by the idea, especially after seeing the "A simple life" teaser which pulled me in at the moment (I like to spend most of my time in games, simply watching the citizens go on with their daily activities, RP'ing along.)

Though, I do understand it's Alpha and all, but there are quite the spots that seem to be... empty. Such as the fields of grass that seem almost irritating with its same height and color, no differences in the shades. Or places where a few trees would offer a great deal to the shadows, such as the mountain road with the caravan on it (Seen in the above picture). Nonetheless, I wish you good luck and if I can be of any service to you, poke me.

Looks absolutely fantastic, really looking forward to playing the full version and hoping you'll manage to realize it (considering the project seems madly ambitious to me). Do you want people who've played it to report bugs/give feedback or is it really too much of a work in progress to start that yet?

Anyway, best of luck and as I said I'm really looking forward to it. It looks great, really enjoyed the dialogue so far. Though if I may make a suggestion: your English is quite good, but seeing as you're so ambitious concerning everything else you might want to have a native speaker proofread everything just to correct some very minor mistakes. I'm no native speaker myself, either, but I'm sure there will plenty willing to help you with that.

And what about changing things like interface and core game mechanic (for example allowing drinking potions during battles)? Does it look like it's possible?

Honestly I have no idea. I can't program or script or anything. Anything I can do I can do with the tools provided with Redkit, so I can only guess:

I guess you can't change core mechanics. And if you can, it will require a great deal of work.

@ Parcival: I originally did not intend to release this alpha. I wanted to wait for my mod to be finished, but then again it is nice for people to be able to play something when Redkit releases.
My level is not ready in any way and there are a lot of placed that will completely change, so I can assure you that it will look and play better in the future. :)

@Wut the Melon I am always open for criticism and it is a good thing that people tell me what they like and what they don't like, but yes, it is a very early stage and especially the dialogue, etc. is only a placeholder. Until now only I worked on the story, level, dialogues, quest ideas, etc. with a little help from my girlfriend, so there are quite a few "construction zones".
But it would be great if someone wanted to proofread the adventure, but it doesn't make a lot of sense right now because a lot will change and I haven't really looked for anything to be correct since I had to throw the demo together in two days. ^^

Hi. I know that this mod is in Alpha stage but I have one question on leader of this amazing work. Is there any possibility to provide us or me all the dialogs to translate them to Czech language?

Speaking of translation, I can translate it to French. :)

But Benz said that it's unfinished so dialog are likely to change.

Yes, I would be happy if people want to translate it, but it is not ready yet. :)

@ Michaz: The first video you posted is many months old (and was stolen by some guy of the beta). I have no problem with you uploading it, but it would be great if you could say somewhere that it is very old and it doesn't have the quality of the demo. :)

Why not just delete it and make a new video with the demo? :)

Played Lykaon mod. Level design is pretty impressive, it's really amazing that you did all that by yourself. One thing for sure, you need to add some music, i felt like deaf while playing it. Also i don't know why but it felt like the dof in your mod is even smaller than in main campaign. It was really weird, when i put quen on, it took over 50% of my field of view and i had trouble to see where im going (but that complain rather to the game itself for not having adjustable camera). Another problem is monster respawn and area in which they attack you. Anyway, great mod, keep working, with voice-over it would be pretty cool.

I didn't change anything about the DOF, so it most likely is still the same as in The Witcher 2. And for the rest: It is an alpha. There's a lot that still needs work. ^^

I sent in my audition to you. At least I tried. I hate having a lisp though. It pisses me off.

Thank you, I'll have a look at it. :)

This is an old trailer I made for Redkit in February. It was a test version with a lot of footage to choose from. The interesting part is most likely in the beginning, because it shows a level that is not part of Lykaon:

Awesome trailer! I have played it a bit and enjoyed it. There are a few bugs but it's an alpha release anyway.

Fantastic mod! Just downloaded it and I am super impressed that you managed all this yourself. I especially enjoy the "witcher-like" humour you have managed to create, Geralt "sounds" just as he does in the games. A couple of problems that have already been adressed, but this is awesome! Thanks for creating it :)

Hey Benzenzimmern i have a question, can you replace Geralt for another character, i mean, you can play as Iorveth or as a Dwarf or you can't change that?

You can play as Iorveth quite easily because there is a "player replacer" looking like Iorweth in Redkit if I recall correctly, but for it is more difficult for other npc's. But it is possible.

Greetings to ye all!...
I am not able to run this mod.... it doesn't even display on the TW2 Screenplay Menu
I followed up the recommended instructions...When I patch the game with the Patch 3.4 the Launcher crashes with the Hotfix issue. After running the Hotfix patch, it launches OK but no Mod is displayed...
Need your support plz!
Thanx a lot!

1. Download the latest patch 3.4 and install it.

2. Create folder called “UserContent” in your Witcher 2 folder in Documents, e.g. *Documents\Witcher 2\UserContent - this is where you will put the downloaded mods. Make sure you have enough space on the partition with My Documents to store mods there.

3. After the mod is downloaded, unzipped and copied into UserContent folder, run userContentManager.exe which can be found in the Witcher2/bin folder. There make sure you have checked the box next to the mod that you would like to launch.

4. You have two options:
4.1 Save and Run - this will save your mod choices and boot the game.
4.2. Save and Exit - this will save your mod choices and exit the User Content Manager.

5. Once you’ve chosen the mod and run the Witcher 2, go to New Game/User Content and select the mod you’d like to play.

I would say maybe less. It also depends on how fast there are tutorials about implementing music into Redkit or how fast CD Projekt is able to give us "lipsync".
