[MAC] Chapter 2 - Teleporting to swamp instead of sewers

Hey there!
I'm not sure where I should post it, but I found a critical bug in The Witcher: Enhanced Edition. In Chapter II, whenever I want to go to the Sewers, I'm instantly teleported to the Swamp, precisely to the docks. This happens when I enter either from the entrance near Raymond's house, or from the Dungeons, but also when doing the first quest of the chapter - so basically I can escape the jail without ever slaying the Cocatrice, but I can't retrieve my items. Also, when I try to enter the Swamps via the Ferryman, I'm teleported to a place called Salamander Base, but before it loads, my game freezes, and nothing reacts anymore.
Steam doesn't show any updates that I don't have installed, and I'm playing on a MacBook Air 2020- However, I've used this laptop several times in the past to complete the game without any issues, so this is a new problem. Also tried loading an older save file that previously didn't have this issue, but that also didn't work. Tried relaunching the game, but nothing. Thanks in advance!

Just to be sure, are you using any mods or have you ever used any in the past?

Not sure I have anything to offer beyond that. Anything non-standard about the way the game is installed?

Nothing. I never installed any mods to the game or anything like that.
 
Just confirming:

Issue 1 = The game should be transitioning to the sewers, but it's sending Geralt to the swamp instead. Specifically to the docks where the ferryman would be?

Issue 2 = When using the actual ferryman to transition from Vizima to the swamp, the game instead transports Geralt directly to the Salamandra base. (Meaning...like when Triss teleports you in as part of the quest?)

#1 - Yes; when I try to enter the Sewers from any entrance, the loading screen for the Swamps shows up, then I arrive at the docks - the same place where I would be if I used the ferryman to go there. Even though at this point I can't go to the Dike from Vizima. However, the animation showing the ferryman taking Geralt in his boat does not show up, only when returning to the Dike.
#2 - That's right as well. However, to be honest, I'm not sure which Salamandra base location I'm being teleported to (I think there exists several during the game, but I'm not sure.) It just shows a loading screen for a Salamandra base, but the game freezes before showing the actual location. (Possibly because it's the one Triss should teleport me to, but I'm not there in the story yet, so the game gets confused. :Р)

Sounds almost like the activators are completely scrambled, somehow. I'm assuming you've done all the basic verify/repair stuff. I'd go right to Support:

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Mac systems. I have no idea how a situation like that could have developed. For the second thing, It definitely sounds like the Triss teleportation transition. That's a simple fade-to-black to hide the assets unloading/loading, so it makes sense it might otherwise just hang, visually.

Hopefully, Support can make something of it!

As someone who doesn't use Steam regularly, I wasn't aware that there's an easy way to verify the integrity of the game's files. However, I've now run the process and it seems to have solved the issue. I was able to go down to the Sewers, kill the Cocatrice and progress with the story. I haven't tried the ferry to the Swamps yet, but I'm sure it'll also work now.
