[Main Story Quest Bug] Payback (Yennefer & Ciri)

Hey there,

Unfortunately I've hit a gamebreaking bug that prevents me from continuing with the Main Story Quest 'Payback'.

Yennefer part:

After you talk to the guy in the whorehouse, he flees. You have to run after him - after a while he climbs up some ladders.
You have to climb up after him but can't get onto the roof. You can't "latch" onto the climbing point that the NPC used before you.
It is clearly used to get up there as it's marked by the white chalk mark.

After trying for 10 minutes I loaded a checkpoint earlier and tried doing the "Help Ciri finish her affairs in Novigrad" part.
That worked fine until the part where I had to break into the stables and steal horses for the circus troup.
You're supposed to climb up on some scaffolding and enter the stable via an open window.
Again, you are unable to climb as Geralt refuses to latch onto the "climb" point of the place you're supposed to go up.

This is in game version 1.04.

Any help would be greatly apreciated as I can't finish the main story at all in this state.

I have this problem too. And like we can see nobody cares about us

They should call this version of game "The Witcher Edition" because it has so many bugs that only witcher could survive facing all of them.

Edit: I can confirm this workaround is ok.
Also, I found that if you use Axii on the guy running from you as he's climbing up the first ladder you can advance the quest.
Unfortunately, after you enter the Sewers you can't climb a bloody ledge again.

Ok, people I got the real solution on the climbing problem.


1. Install console unlocker: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/28
2. Press "`" or "F12"
3. Enter: "ultrafix"


And that is it. Geralt can climb again. I am a genius
