Major bugs still not fixed by patch 1.07
I stopped playing about a month ago, when my Novigrad Dreaming/Ciri's Footsteps quests became impossible to trigger. First, my GPS stopped working for several quests, including these two main quests. So I googled where to find the "Old House", and when I go there, I can't speak to Rudolf de Jonkheer, and the door to the house remains locked. I then went back to complete the Master Armorers quest since clearly I was locked out of the main quest, where I was then greeted with an infinite loading screen after bringing the Arch Griffin gland to Yonna. I've loaded the game from several different save points, and I still run into these two major glitches, Ciri's Footsteps/Novigrad Dreaming being huge since I can't progress in the game.
Fast forward to today, when I excitedly installed the giant 1.07 patch, thinking that at least one of these bugs must be stomped out. Unfortunately, I'm encountering the exact same problems, even the non-functioning GPS. After taking a month off from The Witcher 3, I was really excited to get back into it. However, I'm afraid that my next hiatus will be much longer, if not permanent, and I fear I'm not alone. They say that it's better to burn out than to fade away, and our love was strong, Geralt, I just wish it would have lasted.
I wish you the best CD Projekt Red, but I had really hoped to play more than 1/3rd of the game that I purchased.
PS. The last two PC games I've purchased are The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight. Pretty comical.
Game/System Specs:
PC
Windows 7 Ultimate
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
Dual Intel Xeon E5645 Processors
48Gbs of RAM (24 to each cpu)
