This is perhaps the worst thing they could do.

Saying "it runs surprisingly well" is incredibly dishonest. Because "surprisingly well" could mean anything, because "surprisingly well" compared to what exactly?

I don't think the developers themselves wanted this, but it's not them that decides when to release. It's the owners, they saw a quick profit, they don't care about things like this, as long as it's money there, they don't see the problem.

Precisely. Hence why none of us blame the devs, but blame management and shareholders.

From what I've seen noone was targeting any devs or even higher ups personally. But we need to hold the company as a whole accountable for what is happening. If anything, devs in the company probably have more influence over decisions than what we can achiev here.

devs have surely not more influence over decisions.. perhaps designs & when they are building the game.. But when the CEO says dead line is this date and i want you too focus on PC only then as a dev you have too listen.. that is how it is, if you don't you will get the consequences " obviously getting fired "..

The game seems almost as empty and hollow as Skyrim, imo. And people who have played that game for years definitely know what I mean.

Maybe even more hollow than Skyrim. Which is saying something.

If that is so, then it's not really a company that deserves the fans and customer's good faith, does it now?

Hence why we don’t blame devs. They’re essentially the customer service agent in a company. They don’t make the rules, they follow them.

It’d be more akin to EA or BioWare, in that case, or Bethesda.

If you cannot keep the consumers faith in you, then sales dwindle, outside of people who don’t care and will buy anyway.

Not gonna have CDPR Back this time, they lied and the backlash they are getting is deserve, very well diserve. We need to support them ? We already did that by buying a buggy and unfinish project. Man they lied in so many regards that is actually crazy, but then again they did that with Witcher 3 too, so was not really a suprise.

At least with Witcher 3, they fixed the game and made it something good.

I’m giving them the chance to do the same with 2077, but I expect nothing—and that honestly should feel just as bad as refunding and vowing to never buy from them again—simply because that may end up meaning I may never buy from them again.

As it was stated many many times before. I could easily look past the bugs. Luckily on PC they aren't that bad at all. But the lack of depth in the game, and imho butchered endings kill any kind of desire to replay the game.

And that is all I'm asking for. Make me want to replay!

CD Projekt isn't a friend of mine that has fallen on hard times, it's a big corporation that for whatever reason botched this game after people already paid for it.

As other people have said, CD Projekt is the one that needs to do the supporting, not receiving it.

Especially when they touted replayability, and all this other shite. Bugs and frame rate issues are valid, but that’s not all we should be concerned about.

My problem is the AI. Enemies are pretty braindead and hiding behind their cover forever. Sometimes they even just look at you and are not attacking. They pretend like they are searching you but they will never ever find you unless you walk into their face.

Police just spawns out of thin Air and they keep forgetting you exist after you sprint 100 metres away.

Also If you shoot an innocent guy without any witnesses near them you still get immediately a star.

The side quests are repetitive and your dialogue choices rarely matter.

I think after the main story I will drop the game. It feels empty and boring. I wish it would have been a proper RPG. Stupid that they changed it to an action adventure game.

While in the German TV the Advertisement tells us to do What you want to and be WHO You want to be.
Lies I say the game is linear and the dialogue options Change nothing. Side quests are only kill stuff or Bring sth/someone from A to B.

You can't buy or decorate Houses, you can't Change your Looks properly. You can't customise your Cars. No 3rd Person View. You can't even Join fractions. This game is just a mediocore shooter. Nothing more than some Far Cry Game.

No sorry but CDPR you let me down. The Game has No substance. The only good Part is the Story the Rest is lacking hard.

Stupid Phone is writing everything in Capital Letters 😅
Really where are the fractions why can't you Join a Gang and decide WHO You want to be?

Quite right. Why should I support them more, when they already have my money?

Let’s also not forget there are zero third person cutscenes or first person ones along the lines of that which we saw in trailers.

If anything it's fans that need their support now. If we can't get a refund we must be 1000% sure that we are gonna get a stable product ( both on pc and console , a playable one ( console ) and have many of the cut content restored.
I appreciate modders but it's frustrasting to always have to rely on them for every fix. Unless we are now free to say that CDPR = Bethesda now , then I guess that's okay.

Yeah, so empty and hollow, but took them years to find out, right.

I also read where CDPR said they were unaware of the problems. Huh? That makes it worse. Probably another lie but why say something like that?

An attempt to curb outrage and make it seem like all of this was unexpected to salvage good will.

all i wanted was to spend hours in a story driven world that has many character side quests where we get to connect and interact with the amazing cast CDPR created and put together. so many character stories could have been told and all you get is 3 to 5 missions with each one. what's the point of making likeable awesome characters if in the end it never really matters and you don't get to connect with them on a deep level even the romance is meh. with whats just in the game right now i started to care and sympathize with the characters, just imagine if they would have deep dived into these characters more and really flushed them out like i know CDPR is capable of. would have made for deeper story telling and emotional story swing opportunities. i know so many had unreal expectations but CDPR telling a deep story with lots and lots of character driven side content is not impossible and not a bar to high by what we all expect a CDPR RPG to be.

Sure but that makes it more outrageous at least to me. You released a game without knowing about any problems?

Absolutely. There’s no real way for them to claw themselves out of this other than acknowledging the issues, like they have, and acknowledge the cut content and promise to fix it.
