Map display issue

+
It is the new 522.25 driver that causes these map errors. Need some Hotfix from Nvidia.

Older ones do not have this.

Actually this bloom issue has been around since 1.3, just now it seems to have affected way more people than before. So it is partially at least related to the game's rendering and not just Nvidia drivers alone.

Quoting myself from another thread:
Seems to be a continuation of the DLSS/Ray-tracing bloom issue that has existed at least since patch 1.3, which I've reported here and also submitted a bugreport back in 1.3...
And the same screen as in the OP happens _every time_ I open the map, not just randomly. So currently makes playing a little annoying.

Ryzen 7 3700X
RTX 2070 Super
Windows 10 Home latest patches applied
Most recent Nvidia drivers applied w. clean install and DDU

I for one will keep on using the 522.25 drivers because the FPS has improved a lot. The map indeed is bugged but it's not really a big deal for me.
Bit more challenging but you still can select waypoints for a route.

This is something one can try when experiencing weird graphics issues.
I actually DDU my system on every driver update just to be sure there's no mess piling up somewhere.

I also keep annihilating anything in the LCU folder, just cause I can't bear Windows 10 piling up hundreds of thousands of files in there. But that is just sanitary work.

Just confirming that this is really an issue with the new drivers, fortunately it's just the map so far so I can live with it.

The game is silky smooth otherwise and it's amazing, hoping for a fix soon.

Yeah. My map is broken as hell with the new driver but my minimum fps has gone up a lot, so uhh, I can't switch back now.

The RT performance uplift is unreal. I'm charging around in game with RT Lighting = Psycho and its playable now on my 3060ti at 1440p (DLSS = balanced) in Win11.

This was a complete non-starter on the previous driver. I don't get crushing fps drops down to 10 anymore.

Here the same thing. With this new update from Nvidia there was a substantial increase in FPS (running smooth with everything at ultra/psycho on an RTX3080TI). However, the map is completely corrupted. Hope Nvidia fixes this.

Just here confirming, after properly uninstalling NVIDIA drivers first and installing the new 522.25 ones, the map is whited out.
Everything else seems to be just fine, it is really only the map whiting out.
It does appear to be the latest drivers.

Yesterday I updated the Driver for the 1660super Video Card, I go into the game everything was fine, I open the card and here it is, guys or developers help fix the problem.

Nvidia is already aware of this issue and CDPR too ;)

The only workaround for now, it's to roll back your drivers to a previous version.

So I'm barely seeing a bump in performance myself (larger increase in 4K than in 2K, weirdly) but I didn't get much of a hit after 1.6 either.

I did get the psychedelic map though.

So....

Hey guys,

It's my first time posting about an issue so I'll make it quick.

Whenever I open my map it goes like this (below), no matter how I move it, how fast I move my mouse or if I zoom in/out.
I suspect it has to do with the GPU update I've done earlier, even thoug I rebooted everything.I haven't encountered anything like this before, even after GPU updates or game updates.
Do you have any idea of what's going on? Have you ever had this issue?

Thanks for your answers

This is not necessarily a driver issue, but the new update has changes that could let code already subject to race conditions explode in this manner.

First off, it doesn't actually occur for everyone, even with the same hardware, background software and windows build,

What it actually looks like is in some cases a resource barrier just fails to work, this game is already known to be notoriously error spammy in the d3d12 debuglayer and CDP should investigate it from their own end as well because they could find the issue (among many others) and fix this permanently.

the d3d12 display driver is supposed to be as hands off as possible as it is, so fixing client side bugs from the driver side is poor form.

PSA: The Color Precision setting has an effect on this bug's appearance, the corrupted screenshot posted above is caused by the High setting.
