I'm not sure if we are talking about the same map. The one I saw had clear "Kaer Morhen" marked on it.
This is what I originally thought. There is no Kaer Morhen on that map...or do you mean "The Morhen Eye" on the far north-east? It can't be Kaer Morhen because that's ridiculously far away from Novigrad aka a few hundred kilometers or so...maybe it's an artistic trick of the REDS to get it on the same artwork map but it's definitely not a valid sign for the size of the map. And then again the name isn't really right. Why "The Morhen Eye"?
If you want to know how big the region is, take the distance between Novigrad and Oxenfurt. The region goes south for about three of that distances starting in Novigrad. You're not even in Gors Velen by that measurement. And Oxenfurt is pretty much the most eastern part of the map so it's impossible that Vizima would be part of it (not even talking about Kaer Morhen)...
I think it's a mess, it doesn't match the world map and only adds confusion. So let's wait for the official information. This is what I originally thought.
But I stared at the map Gamestar released for 15 minutes and it seemed like that CDPR has tweaked the original map of the universe in order to make Kaer Morhen and Vizima a continuous part of the map, and they are both clearly labeled and drawn. It's as if they have shrunken the original map and the locations are much closer to each other.
I am still scratching my head, brother.
Neither Kaer Morhen nor Vizima are visible on the map...This is what I originally thought.

The one on Neogaf had it.Neither Kaer Morhen nor Vizima are visible on the map...
LOL, I have the magazine in PDF right before me.If you really want, run "Gamestar Witcher 3 map" in any image search.
So, someone could edit it, who knows. That's why I don't really trust any of that without official confirmation. It all can as well be a prank.LOL, I have the magazine in PDF right before me.![]()
I have to disagree with the last part.I acutally liked the world map much more before I see the full thing. Now it kind of sucks hard.
That looks way too small to me. And it's supposed to be larger than Skyrim? Something is off. Where did you get the idea to only mark those squares?
Yes, because it is a separate and a far away region.Kaer Morhen will be a region that is completely explorable, but again accessed via a loading screen
There is a map on the official Witcher subreddit. The map shown on the magazine(i got it aswell) is also shown on reddit with Kaer Morhen and Vizima.LOL, I have the magazine in PDF right before me.
It's 100% impossible that Vizima or Kaer Morhen are on that map (at least if "The Morhen Eye" isn't "Kaer Morhen").
Dude, that's old news. Read my latest posts. There is a map on the official Witcher subreddit. The map shown on the magazine(i got it aswell) is also shown on reddit with Kaer Morhen and Vizima.
Well, that would explain why I didn't see it, then. Didn't know it wasn't allowed. I've removed it, then. Thanks for the head's up.@Asmodean778 : Mods asked not to post it here. Anyway, that map is totally not proportional.
That is not small if you take realistic scaling into consideration, remember that that is a continent. That looks way too small to me. And it's supposed to be larger than Skyrim? Something is off. Where did you get the idea to only mark those squares?
