Mass Effect 5

Beside the weird charackter face mutations one could create in Andromeda I really liked the game and i was sad as Bioware stoped any further developement only because of the whineorchestra sang by the community. I loved the idea of Planets with deep ancient caves of technology one could discover, starting terraforming of worlds creating new colonies, negotiating with aliens. The game had everything i wanted but for some people it was not enough and they could not resist to complain till Bioware had enough.

The kett may not be enough "epic" compared to reapers...
Anyway, like you, I really enjoy Andromeda. I rediscovered with pleasure my biotic explosions :)

The outlook is bleak on that one too :( The rumor mill says DA4 will be Anthem with swords and, matter of fact, it's being developed by the same group of developers who created Anthem.

It seems EA won't let Bioware die peacefully after it has abused its brand and IPs in the worst possible way in the last 10 years.
Anthem was fun until it got boring. I realize that's not much of a recommendation. But what I mean is that the basics of the game were fun, but that's all there was to it -- the basics. It needed a lot more gameplay development, and a lot more reason to play it than just "hey, I'm Iron Man who can only fly for about 10 seconds before have to land and cool off". It could have / should have been great.

I'm not even slightly interested in DA4. For me, there's no way back from the screwed up way that they ended DA3.

ME5? Looks like another human story line. I don't see that ever succeeding in the impossible shoes left by Shepard. I want to play a Turian main character, or Asari.

Anthem at -90% (6.99E), I was asking myself... Good to buy ?
(At worst it won't be a big loss...)

Or maybe a quarian without the sterile coverall :)

Yes. I'd love to see them finally unveil an "official" look for the Quarians. The whole Quarian / Geth story could be a fun one to dig into.

The price you quoted for Anthem probably represents a fair value for the gameplay, but I wouldn't spend it. I don't trust anything about the game now that EA has decided to discontinue the game. It won't run without their servers, and the servers weren't always reliable even back when they were still investing in the game.

Good, even at lower the price than a pack of cigarettes, not really worth it :)

I just see the trailer (and nothingelse) :)
I see a cosmodesic relay destroyed, it's probably after the trilogy. So depending of Shepard's choices, it leaves some possibility but not that much.
- Quarians/geths : Friends or dead.
- Reapers : Friendly or destroyed.
- Cosmodesics Relay destroyed so not really possible to open a way to unexplored area (except if those ones disactivated have not be destroyed at the end).
- Most important and sure, it's not Andromeda 2... that's pretty awesome :D

I wish it was Andromeda. I love Shep and the Milky Way gang as much as everyone else but Andromeda continues to have a lot of potential.

guess i will be one of those people who will still gladly play any Mass Effect or Dragon age bioware cooked up .-.
i mean Andromeda wasn't GREAT but still enjoyable...and it would be really interesting what they're planning with this one....
(although i really liked Synthesis ending just because i like a good "the great sacrifice for the peace of the universe" kind of thing lol)

Bioware would need to pull off a game at the level of KOTOR, DAO or the early MEs to bring me back into the fold Im afraid.

I'm not too afraid (maybe a little bit...).
I could said, I have really good hopes. Bioware can't doing the same mistakes... :)

But if the next is at the same level as Andromeda (like @izayamika said : "not great but enjoyable"), we can clearly said : It's trully the end, the Mass Effect franchise is dead and buried. It will be either the end or the rebirth, we will see :D

What killed ME Andromeda was shitty writing and a rushed launch, but mostly the writing. If you just ignored the story and the [...] preachy companions then it was a pretty good game.

The forum rules state it is forbidden to: "write about political, religious and other world-view topics; this does not apply to discussions about fictional topics connected with the worlds depicted in the CDPR products."

Sorry about the bit of necromancy, but thinking about kotor I wonder why the game has some cult status. I even wonder if it was released now (with upgraded everything ofcourse) if it will do as well as it did back then.
For Andromeda I really liked how changing class changed our jump and dodge abilities (biotics just used their power and everyone else had to use technology to emulate them). A real shame that game didn't get further support, but that's EA for you:)

I have zero faith in Bioware at this point. But I hope it is good.

I loved ME and ME2.

I thought ME3 was garbage from the start to the end.

i kinda liked Me3 untill the ending. It kinda sucked all the joy of replaying the game too sadly -.- its "better" now with the DLC too explain the endings but its still a pretty big failure imho.

It will be interesting to see if Nostalgia/old fans will be enough to save the game:)

Its a good game, very clunky and old tho. I kinda like all the old bioware games.. Dont think they have made a bad game untill Anthem really. Me:andromeda is atleast fun in gameplay.
