I would say that Star Wars: The Old Republic was more the template for DA:I than Skyrim. At least that's how it ended up turning out. It's basically a MMORPG without the multiplayer or online component. As far as story is concerned, it was a more hackneyed version of the one which appeared in Elder Scrolls Oblivion years and years ago.

I'm sure with the news about Blood and Wine nobody is that bothered about Andromeda updates but here's one anyway
http://www.masseffect.com/news/an-update-on-mass-effect-andromeda.html?utm_campaign=mea_hd_ww_ic_soco_fb_social-global-ic-fb-may-update-blog&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&cid=5197&ts=1462896614644&sf46188285=1

Looks like we're going to see more in June, which is good. And early 2017 shipping sounds perfect tbh. That gives me plenty of time to finish all the Witcher 3 DLCs and Ass Creed Syndicate before Andromeda is released.

Update with a bit more news from someone who has allegedly played some of Mass Effect Andromeda.

From the sounds of it, they improved the animations, which needed it badly (especially the facial ones). Result of the raised quality bar thanks to Witcher 3's animations? Exploration seems greatly improved too. Hopefully it won't be filled with small stuff to collect and that's that. I'd like to see some more hand-made, quality content for discovery on planets. Stories to unfold, local flora/fauna to look for, history of ancient or current sentient species to discover... Also they need to up their writing game, especially for the side content.

I'll be wary this time around, but at least these news bring some hope :)

Yeah I feel the same way. As long as the side quests aren't annoying mindless fetch quests to pad out the main quest i'll be happy.

They need to do more than just not include fetch quests, they need to get an understanding on good level design for exploration, create more lively atmosphere and add some nuance to their choice and consequence. Those are the same three complaints I've had with their games going back to ME1.

You have such high standards for an alien dating simulator

Dating and mating, let's not forget about the mating part.

i think this game will be similar to dragon age inquisition, only main quests have story and the simple boring fetch quests and chores to make people waste time
but i truly hope this new trilogy is as good as the original

I had extremely low hopes for Andromeda after Mass Effect 2 and 3. Now after Inquisition I have almost no faith in Bioware's ability to not only write, but make engaging gameplay so I can only expect the worst from ME:A.
That being said, if there just happens to be another cute Quarian female squadmate...I might just let Bioware empty my wallet a little and cause me to spend a few months regretting my purchase. Again. Maybe I should just get back into pirating games I'm unsure about.

If they had ever shown Tali fully out of her suit, I'm pretty sure she'd be forever alone. The whole segmented leg and three fingers bit is a little too...icky. I'm sticking with my squid-headed lesbians. Speaking of Tali, just for the memories:

I'm on the second page of the most epic BSN thread ever created.

Is it the same topic as the one where someone said he made a Tali sexdoll (with pictures included)?

Well E3 barely showed us anything BUT hell yes to the trailer having the female protagonist (i'm guessing she's the protagonist)

also the Asari looked amazing. I'm hype.

Mako seems to be faster :D As long as they 'l give me Krogans I'll give this game a try. This trailer has some familair mass effect vibe so yeah...hyped too

It was impressive but anymore I don't fully trust preview materials. Was hoping to see more of the Mako.

Seeing good facial animations in a bioware game, what is this madness

Meh, I expected more gameplay footage, less BTS and CGI, still looks promising... Is it just me or that asari looks like a dude?
