I disagree, your choices have a pretty huge impact, even ME1, ME2 choices ( which surprised the hell out of me ). The Council, Rachni, Wrex choices of ME1 matter quite a bit. The ME2 Legion and Tali loyalty quests a hell lot more then that and the Collector Base decision might just end up being the single most important decision of both ME1 and ME2.The impression I got from reading the story script is that choices do have some influence now, but not a great deal.
So yes I'd classify them as mattering a great deal, not as much as some decisions present in TW2, true, but the choices you import matter a hell lot more then in an import of TW1 to TW2 for instance.
So yes, Bioware has grown some goddamn balls since I am fairly sure some people will be pissed at what they did with the consequences of ME1, ME2 decisions.
