Mechanics features from TW1 and 2 you would like to see in TW3

Hello everyone, as the title suggests, what mechanical features you would like to see in TW3 that existed in the prequels?

Personally a feature I loved from the first tile that saddly wasn't added in the second were the combat animations, the more points you spent in the combat stances you would see more complex and cool moves, I played the first one again recently and lord, how much I love the group stance on the silver sword, a real whirlwind.

A proper PC mouse setup that doesn't lag or drag behind. And a 2-round Dice poker game that doesn't have the awkward dice throwing mechanic.

Gradually speeding-up combat animations. - TW1

Can't really call it a mechanic but, 'Baltimore's Nightmare' like riddles -TW2

Drinking,Eating
Alcohol use for potions.
Maybe that gift giving like option.
The intimidate/sing option in the Withcer 2 was pretty good would like to see it in the Witcher 3.
Maybe the bestiary like in W1 with text and picture.
The weapon sharpening/poisoning animation was nice in the w1 would like to see that 2
And the rare potions in the witcher 1 the ones that gave u skill points that was nice too.
And maybe the secondary weapons or the torch:p.

Isn't it confirmed?

Or was TW1's bestiary special in some way?

Keep the ability to retarget during chained moves. This is helpful in fighting multiple opponents without resorting to explicit group style.

From TW1, bring back and elaborate on drinking games; bring back high-stakes dice poker with the two out of three to win rule.

From TW2, keep arm wrestling; keep bomb throwing and traps; keep the need to improve alchemy skills to get the most out of potions, oils, bombs, and traps.

All of this. Especially the first one, which is basically free-flow combat, something TW2 came awful close to nailing. Most of the things I wanted have already been confirmed.

Youuuu're drunk!! GET OUT!!

I never used traps at all. I didn't care much for oils and I did throw around some bombs but didn't care too much. I can understand with monster hunting that setting up traps is a good idea. Oh and the gift giving is really a nice feature to implement.

Oh indeed I liked all the journal entries in the Witcher 1, everything was so detailed, I'd love to see that back too

1) Free drinking, drinks.
2) Useable: Food. Water.
3) More women than 2, much like 1. Return of cards, too, also?
4) Group style from the beginning, much like 1.
5) Return of: Albedo, rubedo, nigredo, potion/bombs/oil bases. More complex, yet complete and satisfactory, system.
6) Larger bestiary than 2, more like 1.
7) Gore and bloodshed, finishers, more than 2, much like 1.
:cool:/> Neutral path.
9) Vapors of the Hunt. But now to be useable.
10) No potion negative effects. Larger toxicity limit and plethora of potable potions (not only 3), much like 1. Return of death from overdose.
11) Return of fisstech crafting/using.
12) Some DLCs to be entire side-stories, much like the two official ones from 1.
13) Dark mode with unique armor sets, much like 2.
14) Character attributes (like pyromaniac), much like 2. Really liked those.
15) Mature and dark world, as promised and intended. No DRM, no censorship, no Australia/Germany/USA ban of game or censor. GoG version. Code key redeem. Free upgrade to enhanced edition. Free DLCs. Much like both 1 and 2.

My list from TW1 is longer since I assume the new game will have more in common with the mechanics of TW2. My ideas:

My list of things that need to be brought back from TW1

And my list from TW2:
-Geralt can learn monster knowledge from fighting and tracking
-The Heliotrope sign
-Adrenaline
-Sneaking and stealth - but improve functionality and make it more prevalent (but optional)
-Story abilities

Being able to use potions in combat. Maybe have two types of potions, one that requires to be used before combat (has a delayed effect) and another that's instant. Best of both worlds really.

From TW1.

- The option to give an item from your inventory to someone during a dialogue.
While quite under-utilized in the first game, it potentially paved the road for some interesting, non-obvious and self-solving dialogue "puzzle".
- Grid inventory
- Return of albedo, rubedo, nigredo. Or some similar mechanic making alchemy more deep and less dull.

Yes, but please, not in the half-assed, semi-automated form it was in TW2.
Something more like Gothic/Risen, where you can sneak when you want to do it, not just when the game thinks you should.
