You haven't paid for the game yet.

Inhalers are weird (like, in general—come at me, asthmatics), but Isn't combat being fast somewhat similar to how it plays out in the PnP?

(In theory, at least. It's hard to derive any meaningful information about the overall feel from secondhand accounts.)

Well, now I almost hope any potential expansions will add new classes to the game but I guess that still won't fit with the MC's background.

For exploration at least... With these models and outfits it would be shame not have TPP option :D

It's clear they are copying Deus Ex with the first person and third person in cutscene, which is honestly a very bad idea. Deus Ex is not an open world.

So... they're doing something new, basically? It used to be that creative risks were considered a good thing.

That's operating under the assumption that future content will revolve around V and not a new character, though. Just because that's how The Witcher handled it doesn't mean they're stuck doing it that way for 2077. A separate expansion campaign with a different character in one of the non-playable-in-base-game roles would be awesome.

Yeah.

Street cred being linked to what you wear seems totally foolish to me. You have a name (be it 'V' or whatever) and a reputation, that's your Street Cred not what sort of jacket you're wearing.

Inhalers?
Really?
Inhalers?

Guess CDPR felt the need to cater to the "I killz eberythin" crowd was more important then realistic combat.

At one point she went to her Ripperdoc to install an optical scanner and a hand upgrade called Subdermal Grip. The increased grip strength upped the damage of her guns, as well as brought up a previously-missing ammo counter.

What?
How the hell does a hand implant improving grip strength increase damage with firearms? Melee weapons, OK, sure, firearms???

Can't wait. I believe regardless of the doubters that this company deserves the benefit of the doubt that they are creating an incredible game.

I really don't see why first person is a problem. I play lots of first person games mixed with third person games, and I never felt one type is preferable above another. I feel very comfortable with both.

Whatever you think about it, I have played lots of hours in "Elder Scrolls" games, and these games where first person with third person cut-scenes. So character creation still is very important. Also - I think sneaking (line of sight) and targeting is way more easy when in a first person perspective. So yeah... I don't mind Cyberpunk is first person perspective.

This is, of course, a personal opinion.

Ballsy move to go with and design around FPP only but I'm A-OK with that. Gotta love the whining and complaining that except for the hands and part of the forearms you won't be able to see V ALL the fucking time this way. People seem to forget the substantial amount of TPP cutscenes in The Witcher 3. Plus there'll likely be a 3D model in the character or inventory screen you'll be able to spin around and have a gander at from all the angles ALL day long, if you want to.

Very curious about how they approach FPP melee combat. If it's anything like in the two reimagined Shadow Warriors from Flying Wild Hog, we should be good.

Bit disappointed by the very limited choice between only 3 possible roles/life paths, but supporting all 9 or 10 in a meaningful way and in a game of that scope really wasn't realistic in the first place. Might have done that on purpose so that the player can assume the roles of Cop, Fixer & Media in Cyberpunk 2080 and Corporate, Nomad & Rockerboy in Cyberpunk 2083.

No... you're not a fan, you're a poser who just set up an account today.

But I'll admit to being disapointed in third person myself. I would have liked to see the changes to my character as I get new tech. And I was hoping they would modify the combat system from the PnP to reflect realism for damage. Otherwise I'm still excited to hear more

But how is it something new when literally every RPG that has came out in the last year is FPS, it just seems like they are following the crowd and not standing out

Fast and lethal, yes.

But no fast healing in the PnP at all.
Get thee to a medic/hospital.
