Not sure if i shoulda put this in tech support but in my opinion it's not a heavy enough problem for tech support as it is either intentional or a minor bug.

So i've done a bit of research on this topic but can't find anything in the patch notes pertaining to it. I've mainly just seen talk floating around as i've tried to figure out why this is exactly that you can now place talents without meditating.

I just realized it when I was in the middle of battle and went to check my stats and talents and was able to allocate points into my talents right in the middle of battle without meditating. I was wondering if this is intended or is some kind of bug because I always thought I had to go through meditation to place talent points as i did in the witcher 1.

I did a bit of research on google and found people on various message boards discussing the new discovery, I dug around a bit here but found nothing although I did not look very hard I will admit. What I've seen most people say is that you can place talents at any time on easy and normal (im playing on normal) but must meditate to place talents on hard and insane.

So I'm just wondering if this is intentional or some bug, because I was wondering of the purpose of the talent tree access from the meditation menu if you can put talents in at any time on the lower difficulties.

It's intentional, and it still has to be in the meditation menu in order to use it on the harder difficulties. You understand it correctly.

I don't think it was a particularly good idea, either, but it definitely is intentional and not a bug.

yes, you can only add earned talent point while in maditation mode similar to TW1 when you had to use the camp or Inn. Personally I dont see that as problem.. if you think about it, its even better because if you would decide for some wierd reason to add points while in the middle of the battle there is a chance you could make a mistake.. plus not like you leveling every few seconds anyway

Yes, on Hard and in Insane. On Easy and Normal, you can distribute talents everywhere and anytime without meditation, by clicking 'C'.

Well, it could be helpful if the game allows you to set talent point even during combat. Or why not, place mutagens.

But I don't know if it works, I'm playing on Hard.
