Well you know it is supposed to be the men's lounge, for most other topics, we can just talk in other threads with everyone, so we keep this reserved for the more purile things and talk about boobs and dicks. ^^
Nothing against our female friends (on the contrary), but talking about languages could be a gender neutral thread as well and I would be happy to join.

Pissed as a skunk i'm woken this morning to our lass screeching at me on the phone, asking me where i've been and all this shit, only been a week or so since I last saw her. So I tell her to fuck off as i'm busy dying, then turn me phone off. Round midday I turns me phone back on, a dozen fucking texts, half a dozen voicemails giving me fucking spanish inquisition.

So I rings her, immediately get a load of verbal, tries to get a word in but no dice. So in between rants I give up, crush me phone and go back to me lumpy porridge, and me dogs licking me toes. Don't think i'm cut out for this relationship shit, too old, independent and set in me ways.

Edit: Got to buy a new phone now and all.

That's one way of viewing it, and some relationships are really like that.

Mine on the other hand is nothing like it. Also, not everything in this life is about money and a girlfriend/boyfriend/what have you surely doesn't take up ALL of your free time.

First few years with the ex wife were sweet, and there's a lot of fun in new relationships, but at end of the day, I just don't think I gel as part of a couple. Too much of a loner, and that's my fault not our lasses, think i'll go round tonight, apologise and tell her it's over. Only fair.

I can't speak for married life, since I still have to make that step and I have no idea how it'll end up. But so far, being in a relationship is not all that bad, it certainly has it's advantages and disadvantages, just like everything in this life.

It would for me, since I'm going to school and have to tutor my brother, and get him from school. If I was working right now, I'd have no time whatsoever, unless I get another early morning stocking job.

All relationships aren't about money and such, no, and I'm not trying to get married anyway right now, in which case money really would be important then. But still, if you're in any sort of serious relationship, you're gonna need to drop some dollars if you want to go anywhere worthwhile, and I don't feel like spending it. I'm perfectly fine with hanging out with my friends as just friends. I'm not pressured to get into a relationship, anyway and don't feel the need to be in one at the moment.

Okay now on the serious note I've got to agree with my man. She doesn't have to call wailing like a damned banshee, just ring up and ask if you'd like to hang out and stuff. A week for a new relationship isn't all that long, and I say that as someone who values his me time greatly, so greatly that I'd piss on a relationship with say Olivia Wilde(So hot) if it interfered with my time too much.

Of course this comes from a grade A asshole.
