I was about to post the same, finally a MGS game (we did get Revengeance too) on PC after so long. I hope they at least release HD remakes of the first two as well.

MGS games are very much connected, so playing them in the order they were released is by far the best way to play the series, even if the games jump between past and present/future with different protagonists. ( Naked Snake/Big Boss vs Solid Snake)

But if you want to know Big Boss' story, MGS3 and MGS: Peace Walker are the most relevant games to his story, and Peace Walker is basically mandatory for Ground Zeroes.

Also, I'd just play MGS3 because it's a bloody terrific game. One of the best I've ever played.

Let's hope that the PC get a HD collection eventually. I just read after the game's plot, but if it would be released on PC I will play it through. Tbh I am more interested about Big Boss, the original Snake's story.

The HD collection won't include MGS4 though :/

But yeah, I've always preferred Big Boss' storyline as well mostly because I'm a sucker for anything Cold War.

I know, but both CE including a fancy Artbook, sad thng that I didn't find one with reasonable shipping costs. But I found something which you would like.

Just thinking that the Phantom Pain will have a retail version on PC or it is only just Steam. I have found both Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain on Steam, without price or date. Actually for releasing they wrote "Coming soon".

Oh, okay then :). I tempted to buy as well, but I still want the HD Collection CE, or the Limited Ed. I don't like that art"book" in the Legacy Edition.

OMG I can't believe this, in the same year Metal Gear and Witcher, and a (hopefully good port) Metal gear (with a "snake") on PC for fuck sake !!! I am excited as a little child right now.

Ground Zeroes is GORGEOUS on the PS4. I can only imagine what it will look like on a good PC. My main annoyance with Ground Zeroes & The Phantom Pain is the pop-in, something which is so obvious during the day time. I'm hoping it will be fixed, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not. 1080p, 60FPS, open world, fantastic character models, a beautiful lighting system. There is only so much you can get out of a €400 system but I'm happy with what I've seen. I'm not a huge graphics wh**e! :p

You PC gamers who haven't played it yet are in for a treat.

I watched a gameplay, the whole main story stuff is not too much, like a demo stuff, so I am not sure that I will buy that one. It all depends the price. If it will be about 20€ or a little more, I would buy it.
Well, the Ground Zeroes looks damn good on prev.gen. consoles. I think Kojima one of the few developers who can actually develop to thoose consoles.

I paid €25 for Ground Zeroes, and whilst the story is very short, it has quite a bit of replay value. I was going to give it a miss as it doesn't set a good precedent, but I'm such a Metal Gear nerd I needed it in my life!

:p

That price would be okay for me. And this would be perfect benchmark before the Phantom Pain as well. But there is no release date on Steam nor price yet. I hope that they will publish it in this year (I mean the Ground Zeroes). Heck the console Phantom Pains still not have a release day.
When did they started developing the PC version I wonder.

I have no intention of ever getting a MGS game on PC tbh. I've played the series since the start and intend to keep my collection on Playstation, plus the progress carrying over from Ground Zeroes. But glad more people get access to this wonderful series.

what you meant to say was you're not pc savvy enough to get it running smoothly on a pc.

No I meant every word of what I said. Some games I just don't enjoy on my PC you don't have to be rude about it.

New gameplay from GC 2014:

Update:
When I posted it, I started to watch, no I am finished. The basic gameplay is the same which was out during GC, but there is a glimpse about the multiplayer as well. Looks pretty damn cool. Interesting and even if it is have a bit of Dark Souls taste, but it could be annoying. A good player can be make another fully poor.

Finally I found a copy with good price and I managed to buy this badboy:

Even if it is Xbox 360, I will probably sell the game itself and buy a PS3 verison, or trade it completely.
