Just want to remind that originally Metro 2033 was a nice little sci-fi novel, by Dmitry Glukhovsky. You can get it very cheap on Amazon, the digital edition too

Sirnaq said:Yeah, THQ is kinda desperate, if Last Light flop it means end of them.
That's why im buying ll day 1

They know how to make people hyped.
This is happening with basically all of THQ's games which is why I'm not buying any of them. The whole company is dying and rather than trying to lower prices to see if that would help sales at all or trying to lower the costs of development they are throwing even more money at games and taking bits and pieces of the game out to resell back to the consumer for more money. If they go under their last acts will be desperately trying to grab the consumer's wallet to take just a few more dollars out of it for scraps. It's why I didn't buy Darksiders 2, why I won't be buying the South Park game and why I won't be buying this. Pity since I actually like the games they publish but I refuse to buy games that do this.Sirnaq said:...

Dumb. Very, very dumb.
Wait, so if i buy it at release in my local store will i be able to play the game in ranger mode?VonStreff said:Guys, I'm in touch with THQ PR (since I'm admin on the Metro Last light forums), and I can tell you that that is not the limited edition. They haven't confirmed anything, and everything is still open to change. What I will do is email this thread to them though, so they don't make that mistake./>/>/>
I love Metro 2033 (book and game), can't wait to play this when it's released.
*EDIT* Oh crap.. this is the Limited Edition.. Here's what THQ sent me: 'This is the limited edition offer. All initial shipments of the game both pre-order and in store will be the limited edition version at no extra cost.'
So basically, there is no limited edition.

If that's the case then im ok with it. I don't really care about extra ammo or some modified Kalashnikov but making whole game mode exclusive only for people that preordered the game is ridiculous.VonStreff said:Apparently so. Of course, this mode should be included on the disc anyway, since it's the only way to really play Metro. I'll still preorder.. but I'm quite disappointed at the lack of a proper Limited Edition.
