Mini Map display options

Open world Huds can be frustrating sometimes because your eye is drawn to constantly looking at the mini map. I think it would be neat to have an option to toggle the mini map to hide it from view in future installments of the series. It would be nice to toggle it instead of turning it off completely. That or an option to use a small compass instead of a mini map to find objectives. I think this would allow your view to focus more on the world instead of drawing it to the edge of the screen.

As far as I know, more than 5 years later there are no plans for further changes to the game.

However, there might be mods out there that can do that. Maybe this one, for example:

This mod offers a lot of options to configure HUD modules as well as adds 3D markers for quest and NPC tracking and makes several improvements to game menus. You can use all of the options mod has or
