This, so much this, I won't drive certain cars I have as they brake really slowly so even when I manage to spot the turn coming up and slam on the anchors I'm still missing the turn by miles, really frustrating and your so focused on the mini map gps you miss all the cool sights and end up rear ending the dumb AI traffic when they've stopped for no reason
Exactly what my problem is. I was searching around for a way to zoom out the map (or similar) but found nothing.
Also, the yellow dots are a bit weird sometimes. For example when you drive of the highway, the dots make a 90 degree turn instead of following the road.
This game lacks polish, no pun intended. GTA 4 had automatic zoom-out for increasing speeds. GTA 5 expanded on that by adding an inclined perspective of the minimap. Not that it matters any longer as the game is too much of a hot mess: using a dotted line in minimap is a horrible idea, there are many road splits and having uninterrupted lines would have helped in visualizing the optimal driving path. Driving around in a game like this should be immensely fun, Cyberpunk 2077 makes it feel like torture.
To summarize, Cyberpunk 2077 is worse than GTA 2008.
This is shameful and highly frustrating. Spending $60 on an open world game made by people that, most likely, did not play any PC games in more than 10 years is absurd. Thinking that I dropped $2,100 on a brand new rig just so I can play this game adds insult to injury.

That or show the path in the game world, like saints row does. And it makes even more sense in this game since we have cybernetics installed in our head, actually very surprised there isnt anything like that. People wont need external gps if they have a gps in their head.
The other thing that can help is no auto panning when driving in the car, dont know if there is currently an option to turn that off. But the auto panning messes with my ability to figure out where to go as well.
Having the option to zoom the mini-map or have a Batman/Forza/Watchdogs(ish) to follow would be easier bonus. Either way, going wide open in this game pretty much all the time, corners come up quick.
100%, I mean they have auto driving when I summon them, right up until the moment I get in them.
Maybe V is scared of self driving vehicles?
But if that were the case, how do they explain the Delamain mission?
How much more enjoyable would cruising around the city be if you didn't need to drive and could just enjoy the ride?
As it currently is, I just fast travel as close as I can to my objective to minimize the driving.
yup, came here for this, i spend too much time looking at the mini map to look for the turn rather than on the game. the mini map needs to zoom out, go into isometric like real world navigation apps or have the road directions in the hud similar to the racing missions.
This is an absolute must, I've just been thinking about this as I was playing today and now saw this thread.... In Mafia 3 for example, the faster you go, the more map zooms out
Not sure if I've already posted on this thread because I'm posting on anything remotely mini-map related because this is THE number 1 issue I have with the game.
I'd rather have the constant crashes, NPC's phasing through shit, randomly getting fired 1.5 miles into the sky before crashing to the ground dead than tolerate this nagging and constant game destroying issue to with the mini-map any longer.
I think it's because it's spread over 50 different posts about the same thing. . . and it's not like there's a lack of other problems too. I saw a mate of mine trying to play on PS4 the other day. It was hilarious. . . not for him of course, it was like watching a slide show.
Yeah I prefer to drive bikes over cars, so I can turn hella sharp if needed... but once I'm at a good speed I have very little warning about upcoming corners.
Definitely should have the option to zoom the map out.
Most ironic part is that all the cars in this game are extremely slow but you still miss turns all the time because of the minimap. I have never missed so many intersections in a car game before and this one has one of the lowest top speed caps I have seen, even worse than vanilla GTAV.
