Mini-map while driving needs to be zoomed out

+
You know the racing missions where you have those markers telling you where to go? I want an option to turn that on and off in the menu or something. I want to be able to focus on the world itself instead of staring at a mini-map.

Another idea is also automatic driving or pressing an action button so that the vehicle adapts to the road, as was done in The Witcher 3. Frankly, I do not understand how in a world with implants and cutting-edge technology this has not happened option . We hope that in future updates the community will be heard to implement these improvements.

By the way, in Watch Dogs it is very well implemented.
I think i would be better to just display the curves and overall direction changes in augmented reality (very much like an actual GPS) to keep the player immersed in the world and give the city more room to shine.

An expanded mini map would be great not only to for better awareness when driving but also to let us comprehend the city geography and how the districts connect

After 160 hours in game i think it's nicer not to use the navigator at all. Just enjoy driving towards marker in 3d world and check dotted path on minimap when you get closer than 50 meters.

After all, the point is not to get to your destination as quickly as possible.

Just here to drop my upvote
Would love some kind of augmented VR so I could drop the mini map completely but for now zoom that sucker out

Yes, this!

Though letting cars self drive even if the AI was terrible would let us look at the city more - at least the AI controlled cab after Don't Lose Your Mind. Oh, and self-driving car + skipping the trip would be a far more immersive form of fast travel than teleporting between bus stops.

i would like to have a zoomed out minimap as well for all the obvious reasons.
although looking at the city isn't one of them as that simply is accomplished by driving slower or explore walking.

if you don't like fast travel then don't used it

Driving navigation fix:

- Hability to CHOOSE the minimap zoom, so the players use it the way they want.
- Activate the ARROWS on the STREET, like the racing mission do, so we don't need to keep looking at the minimap, if we don't want!
- A more difficult to implement, but, one that fits perfectly for the FUTURE theme; for the inside cars point of view, HUD on Front Glass. I really can't believe that no developer had this idea before! This one u can just take note, for future implementations, if CD Projekt RED is still interested in implement missing/new features in the game.

Agree, very frustrating... U-turn Simulator 2077

A few people here have suggested that the objective path could be displayed on the road. I'm okay with this, as long as there's a way to deselect current objectives. Late-game, it'd be "all roads lead to Hanako."

Yes please! No Brainerd this. There is a reason why it's implemented in EVERY OTHER GAME.

No mini-map gang!

I actually kinda started knowing my way, and instinctively taking turns onto the onramp for highways, or just knowing what part of the city I am in etc

Or at least let us adjust the zoom on the mini-map or something, driving in the game feels nice but constantly doing 3-9000 point turns when I miss an exit is making me want to just fast travel everywhere.
If you fast travel you just loose most of the beauty of the city, in my second playtrough i go from a place to another by walking, in search of some secrets

Yeah mini map might use some work.

Echoing suggestion for more scaling in dynamic zoom out. Currently with faster vehicles it really causes certain paranoia for missing a turn or lane and demands way too much focus.

There is something good though, its position on hud. Many open world world racers get this wrong positioning mini map usually at right hand bottom corner on screen. That placement works in track games, as in the end people memorize them anyway. On open world games where routes can be whatever, this can be a problem as it doesn't take in account how much eyeball movement it takes to peek mini map on bigger screens, like smart TV's. With super- and hyper cars speeds similar to Cyberpunk, 200 mph / 321 kmh can happen and a lot can happen in fraction of second. 89 meters per second at those speeds.

There are very fast cars in this game and I'm not sure if all players realize speedometer is using imperial units, even game is set in the US and I wonder if there could be something related to that causing issues with mini map scaling.

So position of mini map is good, I think right call was made regarding that, but scaling is an issue.

I think there should be built in GPS radar in your Kiroshi showing the navigation points directly on the road (similiar to Watch Dogs) so You can drive without looking constantly at the minimap.
