[Minor Spoilers] Permanent Crossbow bug

Found a fix thanks to bagels_s. You need the Debug option enabled, find it here. http://www.mmo-game.eu/witcher-3-debug-console-commands/
So this bug starts on the boat that is attacked by pirates. Load up a save before it and do it again. Keep pressing ~ until the command console comes up during the first cut scene on the ship when Geralt wakes up to the pirate attack. Type in "Geralt" (without the ") as quick as you can. If done correctly you will appear stuck naked in the sleeping quarters unable to attack the pirates or open the door. Now type in "Ciri" into the command and now the pirates will show up on the mini map and you will now be able to type "killall" to complete the "Kill all of the pirates" segment. Once done you will proceed to wake up on the beach.

Surely you saved your game before hand so you can revert back.. You should be able to add any item with the additem("insert item name') if not these will work too, It just takes a bit of messing around.

Nothing works I don't have a save before getting on the boat to skellige and trying to get my quest items added back is so frustrating that it's turned me away from this amazing game entirely now! Hopefully there's a fix soon for people who are past the point of no return!

If a kind soul can help me find the command to get back my Eye of Nehalni and Magic Lamp I could possibly continue with the game...

It took me a while to get the exact moment to open the console but it did work like a charm. I woke dressed in my shorts on the beach without the bloody crossbow and a complete inventory. Equipped my usual gear and off I went. THANK YOU...that visual immersion bug was ruining for me an otherwise fun game..

This looked promising, so I tried it ~30 times. I guess my PC is blazing fast, because even at my fastest typing speed I could not stop Geralt from materializing on the deck, in full armor, brandishing a rather large crossbow with which to bash the pirates to no avail
I hope CD Projekt RED issues a patch against it soon, or I discover just the exact right moment to enter the console and type.
I discovered this: During the load screen between Geralt laying down in-cabin and waking to the pirate attack, one may enable the debug console and type Geralt at the prompt. As soon as the load screen finishes and you see Geralt in-cabin, hit Return (or Enter) and the workaround sticks. My rig is too fast to wait and try to do it live in-game. This should work for those of you who have fast rigs like mine. Now, to progress!!

Hi, im new here but since every one had the same problem i've been trying to fix, i decided to take a look and all the "help/fixes" given in this topic didnt work (for me at least) i decided to post what it worked for me in which you can try for yourself and see if works.

Ok to the problem at hand, so if your are reading this is because you haven't found a solution to your problem = big ass crossbow on your back.
As i already said in the previous paragraph i tried to save and reload the save before talking with the captain to enter the cutscene yada yada yada, tried to enter the cutscene with no crossbow equipped, no swords, hell i even tried to do it naked but it didnt f*cking work :wallbash:. Also tried to use the console but since, maybe...just maybe im retarded... maybe, and couldnt do it. So if you are still reading my comment and not thinking that i'm a trolling idiot then you should try my method which... fixed the problem... for me :thumbsup:.

So lets think, 1º -> where the hell did i get that crossbow ?!?! did a bandit put it in my pockets before i killed him ? cause i have no idea.
2º since the damn thing is stuck to my back well ... f*ck it, lets play the game.

Later on i decided to go to the passiflora...have sex...with an elf... dont judge me!!! And for my surprise, i dont know what Geralt did to that elf in bed but i just know that the crossbow is gone, must have been some kind of witcher sex technique.

All this rambling just to say: go to the passiflora and have sex... simple... it worked for me.
