A little annoying thing, imho, is that monsters seems all the same for each kind. I'm not suggesting they should make LOTS of different models for every kind of monster (it would be cool but i think it's a huge work), but it would be nice to have a sort of dynamic texture randomization, so we could have an assortment of scars and skin color, maybe zone-related! For example nekkers in a hot tropical zone could have a darker skin tone, the one found in a cave a paler one and so on, to reflect the environment in which they are found, BUT NOT anything nearly similar to the "Recolor&Reskin and you get a new monster" of the Diablo series. Please not that, i do not want a purple and yellow nekkeror rainbowed ones :/
A bit more could be a little degree of randomization for the monster scale, let's say around +-5%, so they could effectively seem different creatures and not just a bunch of clones.

Just NO. They already have Nekkers of two kinds. I don't care about the nekker individual personalities in the game where are hordes of them and they live only 3 seconds before they die. It's a waste of resources on BS.

I can get behind this..

Also:

-grid inventory for M&K please.
-comparison tabs side by side when shopping. Look at Torchlight.
-a useful map that lets me place custom markers. TW1 had perfect maps. TW2...ugh.
-better physics and animations when bumping into NPC's. As it is they just kinda flit away in a weird manner.
-tone down the color saturation and bloom. Color saturation in caves and Loc Muinne is perfect, but other areas border on tehnicolor saturation.
-bring back the booze, I just loved the variety of spirits in TW1.
-get rid of the charge function for the medallion scan. It's pointless and aggravating.
-make loot logical to context.
-don't have all vendors sell and buy everything. Again, TW1 did this right.
-texture pop-in. If it can be reduced, I'd be much obliged.
-improve the clarity of talent descriptions and especially the character stat and effect screen. It was like reading a fucking dictionary.
-I don't why font was such a hassle in TW2, but I'd like to be able to read stuff in TW3.
-the mouse pointer drag. PLEASE fix it. :)

I wish TW2 had more vampires and dark looking landscapes, like TW1.
Also, like others said, the old dice poker and alchemy.
The lack of social skills is also regrettable.

Hey it was just an example! I'm not a nekker lover too, by the way it was necessary to be quite rude?

Was I rude? Sorry if I offended you. I have nothing against you making examples but I was expressing my strong rejection of the idea you were suggesting.

It annoyed me that I'd get sent out to kill some monsters nests or kill groups of them, and I'd complete the quest and get my money, then when I go back out in the wild those same monsters would still attack me! If I kill the monsters in an area for a quest I'd like them to be eradicated from there permanently.

brown bags

also the monster books don't have any drawings on them. I'd love to see a drawing of the endrega nests and eggs but don't just put the concept art there and call it a day, make it look like real national geographic shit.

It might cost a lot to get your concept artist to do it so get an intern to do it instead.

Fih the duration of potion effects. Make them last longer and work like in TW1. Don't let them wear off during cutscenes. Tie them with in-game time, not real minutes. Make potions drinkable at all times, even if they need a few minutes to take effect. No more annoying drinking animation, please.

Make inventory closer to TW1 or if it is weight-based-to have interface like Diablo or S.T.AL.K.E.R. where you can see what you are carrying more easily and not just a list of items. Make the interface for PC and consoles different (meaning take advantage of mouse and keyboard).

Don't you dare lie, Chewy! Admit that you've had dirty thoughts with the succubus!

Graphics:
- Dithering shadows
- Too little draw distance
- Bloom overkill
- Somewhat 'wooden' character faces
- Bad turning animations (especially when you bring Iorveth to Letho at the end of Act I)
Gameplay:
- Dice Poker - low stakes, clumsy physics, only one game/dialog
- Bad stealth mechanics
- Inconvenient medallion touching
- Easy and QTE-based fistfighting
- No real alchemy system
- ...and of course doors

And a few more that I will only remember when I replay the game for the 4th time (which I'll do for sure).

I think Cat potion in W2 was really bad and useless with weird filter and x-ray vision when W1 did it perfectly.

That's really not necessary, diablo interface worked perfectly with gamepad without any tweaks (also, see Resident Evil 4)

From what I've watched - as opposed to have played - please do get rid of the absurdity of being able to instantly set up traps in front of your enemy's eyes , a moment before he runs right into it and BAM!

It's outrageous.

Setting up traps should take some time. Enemies should be able to spot, avoid and disarm traps.
Otherwise, just make it a magical trap only Geralt sees. It's more honest that way.

I love the idea of booby-trapping, but please make it plausible. And while we're on the subject, give enemies the ability to set their own traps, if that's not in the game already.

Much obliged.

Im pretty sure cdpr knows about it but dark filter with dark mode weapons was really distracting. It would be better to add some magical aura to weapons or something.

Witcher 1 is really unfriendly to non-PC gamers, so I wouldn't want any of the design or control decisions from that game to carry over in their entirety to witcher 3. I wish the new game will find a smart way to balance aesthetics, inventory and controls so non-PC gamers are not left out.
