[Mod Idea] E3 sword positioning while on Roach

So, I think I found the animation for the swords while on horseback from E3 2014. I have noticed that when you pull out the sword while on roach the swords move to the position seen in the demo gameplay, and I realy prefered this position for them. Try it out and you will notice that the swords strangely slide from one position (the standard one) to the other (the E3 one), for e slight moment it can be seen.

The angle of the swords is slightly different between the builds. That's it

You can see the silver sword crossing Geralt's arm for example in the E3 version.

only when unsheathing do they slide, when drawing the swords they are in the vanilla position... and there arent any animations for the #E3 angle while on foot... so this sword position would only work while riding a horse, and since its not possible to change the scabbard position during runtime it would look dumb when on foot...

also, funnily enough, if you use SBUI, the "Geralt" that spawns as the main actor, has the swords in the positions that you want, and you can see that no normal standing sheathing/unsheathing animation matches with the sword positions...

So, it's impossible to change the sword position only for horse riding?? If so then it's really sad. :(
 
Why is no one interested in this, the sword position looked so much better on E3. Even if the sword sheathing animations don't connect I would love to see it. Although it makes no sense for them to not conect, if the swords move to this position when you draw them!

PS: erxv the sword position while on foot is good as it is, only the horse one differs from E3

PPS: Also here is a video taken after the final downgrade, and the game still had this sword position while on horse, that makes me think that it's still in the game!

Maybe because this game is a pain in the ass to mod and it would be a hilarious waste of time for a change so small and insignificant?
Since you're so interested why don't you take the time to do something about it?
 
Ok, you're right about the nonsignificant thing. But I would at least understand what's this all about. I really don't see any difference between those builds regarding the sword position. But it's hilarious, I have to admit ^^
 
I guess making some people happy is a waste of time now :( Someone should just close this thread.
 
No the problem is that these ideas are not creative. If the person who made the thread or someone wants they can make the mod really easily.

A guide I made on animation replacements/editing. I also linked to some sources to get started on modding.

Tbh the E3 threads are getting a little ridiculous lol (great meme material though). There's members on these boards who've been making requests for quite sometime now and I don't think there's really any excuse to not just learn how to mod. If it's animations you're interested in, it's not terribly difficult but sometimes it isn't easy either.

On topic: I can't really see the difference. Looks like Erxv said it's not fully possible though (without lookin silly); I'd take his word on it.

How did you get old adrenaline bar in 1.31?
 
So i've reacently stumbled on a bug that causes the sword position, on horse, to change to a more simullar to the Demo one. I happens very often, if not always, after i clear out a abandoned place. After the cutsceen, the swords look like this:

It's only for the standing animation tho.
It also causes the swords to canage position for the standing animation:

What transition? I know there could be problems with the swords not connecting with Geralts hands, but idk if that's what you mean.
