I totally agree, geralt should be more faster. Geralt is one slow ass witcher in the retail version

I like where your going with this, but just imho, its a complete waste unless you actually have more smooth enemies. They pause for clunky, long ass times just standing around. Being able to move faster is a waste when the enemies are slow, janky, and telegraph miles away while hitting like a feather (even on death march, and no thats not a call to just make them hit harder). If you want a lightning quick mutant, make a more fluid enemy that can for once actually press an attack

If you guys can make it nearly like that 35 min demo video, it would be really epic man.

cant resist asking... ETA ? :)

Well, we're gearing up to start the beta test now. We've had a few technical problems outside of our control (domain issues), but we're getting back on track and the beta test should start in the next day or two. After that, who knows? The beta testers need to try their best to break the mod, so we can fix it.

Yup. We can't ADD new swords/armor. We can only edit existing ones :/ I hope future modkit update will allow us to do it.

So, if it is possible, you could made a separate mod which affects only on Geralt's animations speed and share with us. It would be great.

That's the cool thing about the Witcher 3 "Enhanced Edition" Mod - it's modular. All parts are designed to work together but can be downloaded separately so you can pick and choose what you want and don't want.

I have very little knowledge about modding so go easy on me :)
i play with keyboard and mouse i was using a mod ( classic motion ) which makes change to the walk speed and running speed of Geralt. I think this mod is no longer available on nexus now.
so today i was trying to find the numbers in the mod-file to change walking, jogging and sprinting speed of Geralt changing numbers and checking in-game and i found them. so i made walking more slow and jogging edited to vanilla game walking and sprinting a little fast.

so i was wondering if the combat file can be edited like this too maybe changing the dodging and attack speed like this, if even there is a file like this or maybe it has been tried already ?

Recently i have found a way to increase the speed of the Dodge and Roll animation with KNGR's slow motion mod http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/580/?

With this mod in theory you are supposed to decrease the speed of time to have an effect of slow motion when you dodge, counterattack, roll or with a critical hit.
But no one stop you to do the opposite and increase these values:

dodgeRollSlowMoFactor = 2.0f; (1.0 vanilla)
evadeStepSlowMoFactor = 1.5f; (1.0 vanilla)

Et voila! Of course this doesn't really speed up Geralt's combat animation but gives the illusion of it by increasing the speed of time in that fragment of second of the animation :)

I suppose that the impression of more speed is all that matters.

but what if I want to speed up monster animations? I wonder how to do that...

OK ThanksHolgar82 .
I put 3 instead of 1 for testing in those lines and it works. Awesome. Dodge and jump animation in combat is fast and how it should have been in game from before. 3 might be a bit more maybe but im just testing for a good middle ground.

Now if we can do the same for the sword attacks, it ll be epic. any suggestions @ Holgar82

Might be worth trying to reverse the yrden effect

hmm....

a permanent yrden across the board, which speeds up animations, with like 100m radius.
