Great work on that one skacikpl, I also think that the solution with the nearest NPC seems to be better.
Surely you will test them out and see what intergrades better. Really appreciate the great work, a big thanks on all modders.

@skacikpl her's what i meant

you can see geralt head turning left and right, especially the last one, now am not sure if this head movement is one single set of complete body animations and therefore its not usable, or if the head animations is handled separately from the rest of the body ( or it include only the upper mid of body like head+ shoulders ) and in that case maybe it can be used while walking

Well, not like animation blending is anything new in games. But yeah that's the same animation set i was referring to, some of the head movement of those anims seems to override current look-at target.

Most likely today, it isn't that hard to implement, one way or another.

Is it possibile to implement this function while Geralt is walking? I mean like in the old trailers.

I'm doing last tests before doing a proper rewrite and uploading it to nexus.

It still has fair share of small bugs, but they're nothing game/immersion breaking, i'll deal with those in due time. It's good enough for initial release i guess.

looks great, would be a bit better if it was a bit smoother (the part where he looks to the center again)

also, not criticizing, but irl, you dont really look at people like that when walking past, you dont look at ALL the people atleast, and most of the time you dont look straight at them, your head is more like in-between the center of your body and the thing you are looking at....

illustration, please excuse my paint skills

http://imgur.com/h86HHLO

so, would it be in the realms of possibility to make Geralt look a bit more natural in looking at people, and maybe have a "chance" of him looking, not always 100%

gona dl it as is anyway tho

excellent work man, work fine , her's a small suggestion

would it be possible to make geralt look at only 1 time when ther's multiple NPCs ? because right now, one animation cancel another when ther's multiple NPCs, maybe putting a delay in between ?

also her's a reference from 3:07 and 6:48

you can notice that it happen randomly and he dosnt necessarily look at something , now i know the limiation of modding the game, so am not sure if you could do that with look at

also you can see the animations that was i referring to in my previous post , the small head turn happen when he's in idle state, would it be possible to use that animation with look at and maybe randomize it with the longer head turn ?

its already amazing really, and wouldnt mind if it stay like it is , just some suggestions

As far as i can tell, he quite often skips targets in crowd.
TBH it's fairly limited, but i may look into improving it in the future.

in the 37 min demo, he doesnt necessarily look at the people he is passing by, more like a slight tilt of the head towards them, which is more natural in my opinion.

edit. okay it actually looks like random head movement in the 37 min demo, he doesnt seem to be looking at people at all...

I can't really have him "tilt" his head, i'm using function that straight makes him look at object.
I tried using function that directly controls head rotation, which would give me more control, but it didn't work at all IIRC.
