OK, so the mod wont work. I have installed heaps of mods for all kinds of games, so I am no newbie at installiing mods, but this download file that downloads as zip, when extracted by using winzip to same folder name is called "silver_sword_retex" now inside this folder is another folder named "dds". Now I have tried to extract the files into my override folder in the Data folder of The Witcher. Now I have tried just having the folder dds as a whole in my override folder.. But that doesn't work either. I have even tried this with no other mods installed at all. I need to know to be sure the exact files and/or folders need to be in exactly which directory for this particular mod to activate. I am using a save game and not a brand new start, I am also using the 1.5 patch, with the other patch, the one that allows the game to swear and speak dirty, rated R type stuff. I have tried installing other sword mods and they have worked, but this does not. I really want to see this mod as I like the silver sword pics, so I badly want it, so please help me. I need someone who has actually installed it and has it currently installed and working to give me the instructions, as someone who hasn't used this mod would be useless to explain, Thanks.PS: is this mod suitable for 1.5 patch?
this is just a texture replacement, it will work on all versionsi use a folder to store each mod, Override/dds , Override/enhanced, etc, and it works finewhat other mods do you have installed ? maybe one of the other override these sword textures ?alison22000 said:
I Have the Stuff Mod that installs an easy set of 3 items such as a free meditation option, free storage and unlimited cats eye/night vision things, and I also have the Black_suit_with_golden_skulls mod installed and this mod. Thats all and they are all in the override folder. The Black_suit_with_golden_skulls mod works and the Stuff Mod works, just this one doesn't. I might remove stuff mod and see what happens.
I completely removed all mods and installed only the dds folder into the override directory and still nothing. Does the sword only glow when your fighting or is it constantly glowing?
