The cutscenes look great now.

The light shafts when the sun is low is the only real gripe I have left with the mod for me personally, though but that is hardly game breaking as I can just turn them off as you are recommending anyways.

Amazing work! :D

yea exactly, i kept watching the 2014 build footage and i couldnt catch any sign of light shaft at all, so we can live without that i guess, but there was some form of ambient lighting, you can get something a little close with reshade ambient lighting shader

There appears to be some subtle light shafts in the E3 2014 Xbox One Griffin hunt demonstration, but the video is so blurry, it might as well just be a bloom effect.
Using Reshade with your mod does help somewhat with this, still when the light shafts do work (which they currently do the majority of the time to me) they look great together with your mod. :)

What I noticed from both Witcher 2 and 3. In both of them in demo gameplay there was not any light shafts. That was only in retail version. And another thing in 2014 demo was reflections, both in xbox one and PC. I mean reflection casts anomorphic lens flare on water or even somethimes on Geralt's armor.

@Mezziaz I think In Xbox demo that was really fake ambient light in beginning where Geralt begin in forest. Because when Geralt exit from forest light become white. First time when I watched that demo I thougt it is sunset time when Geralt was in forest . But when he exit forest I saw it is afternoon. But overall that was amazing.

I updated to 1.3 and guess what bug is back.

Seems to be directly related to storms/rain, as it only happens during these weather conditions.

Also had a bug where the lighting slightly changed and all torches were emitting white light, instead of normal fire (sounds like something you ahd trouble with pre-release, unfortunately didn't get a screenshot)

Just played through the whispering hillock part with the 1.3 version on and I don't know if I got lucky but it looked insanely good. It was midnight time and there seemed to be alternative lighting effect for that area. It actually was dark with alot of mist and it looked great (don't have screenshots unfortunately). The ligting with the dialogue cutscene between geralt and the crones also looked spot on. I also wanna say that pretty much in all versions the igni fire effect looks really amazing and so does the burning effect.

if ther's a cutscene during storm it will always be like this, i though about completely removing storm weather at one point to avoid this

Amazing the difference this mod makes, the draw distance was my biggest issue to be honest i thank you greatly it changes Velen/Novigrad in particular. How is this even possible was the textures just obscured by fog? i would be really disappointed if that was the case, and the skies too feel colourful and dynamic instead of petrified grey.

The things you see in the distance were always rendered, just hidden behind the fog, yes.

but to be fair to CDPR, without the fog the pop-in is very noticable

1) It probably is a known issue but do you guys have that kind of glow around braziers at Dandelion's?
2) When the weather changes the mod stops working and the horrible stock lighting kicks in.
