@arkray:I tried out the editor on the weekend. It's very simple to understand and I think making a good story isn't that problem. I just have one simple story (we make poor young Geralt a virgin 8) and the player is going to keep Geralt on his first steps as an unfruitful witcher, that doesn't really know if his sexuality works ;D). I made a few areas without "inventory" yet, followed the tutorials on D'jinni Wiki and set a few spawn and action points, it's just as simple as with the NWN toolset. But I need time to get through this tutorial with cutscenes and camera and so.Also I want Geralt to "play" in the whole world of the Northern Kingdoms, my first area is settled at Aedd Gynvael, but it doesn't really make sense, that this are the outskirts of vizima, so at the moment I'll try to find a way to make several new meshes with any editor (maybe you know if there is a chance to make a landscape with the NWN2 Toolset and import it somehow to the D'jinni?)Also I read through all this uncensored "nudity" stuff, and think it would be fine for my "poor Geralt" if he "sees and tastes" more about the real world, he's in
;D
Ok, that all means: I have a deeply moving, interesting, romantic (even with guys), and absolutely sensitive story, that lets the player see a Geralt, like that is given in the books, sometimes not really happy with the fact he is a witcher (you know people spitting and spotting at him, throwing stones at him and banish witchers, 'cause they are afraid of them or hate them), but I don't know a real good mainquest at this time. But that goes quick, when the areas are given, my mind will spit out something really great.Second I think the mod should have about 10 hours for gameplay, I'm not for such short storys that are played in a few minutes.
Third I'm no designer so I could need help with this topic and/or the cutscenes and surely a whole lot of other stuff.I think it takes a few month to do all that I wanna do in there (espescially in english) but it will be a wonderful mod anyway.Least but not last, if you are interested in building a modder team (maybe one for all beginners here) feel free to post it
