Models from The Witcher 1

Does anyone know if it is possible to export models (from a monster as an example) from The Witcher 1 using D'jinni and opening/editing them in a 3D programm like 3DsMax or Blender? I can't really get D'Jinni to run and I am not experienced with it, that's why I ask before I put a lot of time in it and in the end it does not work.
I would love to use some of the models like the Flatterer in Redkit for The Witcher 2, so it would be great if someone knew a little bit about this.

I was able to run D'Jinni with Wine on Linux a while ago, but I never really used it for anything serious. Accessing models in Blender would be indeed interesting.

Have you tried asking to Flash or Adam Fantasta? Both are the Djinni masters over here.

This is what's instructed on Djinni wiki about file exporting with 3ds Max http://djinni.wikia.com/wiki/Model_Exporting
Hope it helps

Technically speaking, you are looking for an importer ;)

Here's probably the best existing importer created by Michael DarkAngel:

You should be able to import Witcher models into 3ds Max with it.
As far as Blender goes, I'm not sure if such an importer exists. My script which I created for Blender some time ago
is an export script which exports static models from Blender to Djinni, and here's a tutorial for it:

After a day of writing with CD Projekt and another very talented guy who also was in the closed beta (he basically did all the work while I was writing stuff :p), we probably worked something pretty promising out. If everything works as it should, we'll release tutorials, etc. how it works! This may be the start of a lot of new content for Redkit :D
